Chapter 477

Bonnie was about to scan Ivor’s QR code when her phone rang. “Excuse me while I answer—”

Before she could finish, Ivor’s phone also rang.

Bonnie answered the call and said, “What? He fainted again?”

Ivor also received a call from the hospital. His grandfather had fallen unconscious again.

The duo said simultaneously, “All right, I’ll be there as soon as possible.”

They were a little surprised as they exchanged glances. Then, one said, “I have an emergency. I’ll be taking my leave now.”

“Likewise.”

The duo left Achork and returned to Pyralis. They reached the hospital at almost the same time.

Sigmund looked awful as he lay on the bed. She went over and checked his pulse immediately.

“Why did his condition worsen out of nowhere?”

Russell said, “Why else? It’s because of that freaking teapot.”

“I—I don’t need your help to explain my condition,” Sigmund said with some strain.

“Geez. Take a look at yourself. Save your breath and stop glaring at me already.”

“What on earth happened?” She asked again.

Russell explained, “My ward is next door, and I was very bored. So, I came over here to check on him. That’s when I saw him trying to piece the clay teapot back together.”

“He wasn’t having much luck with it and made it worse. He got himself worked up so much that he passed out again.”

Ivor’s face stiffened. He was blaming himself for not being able to secure the clay teapot at the auction.

‘If only I could purchase it. Then Grandpa would feel better.’

As Ivor thought this, Bonnie took out a gift box and showed it to Sigmund.

“Why don’t you see what’s in the box, Grandpa?”

Ivor’s eyes widened when he saw the clay teapot in the box. Then, he looked at Bonnie.

“That explains it. I finally know why the lady in the mask looked familiar.”

“Ah! T-This is Master Yandel’s clay teapot! It looks exactly the same as the one I’ve owned!”

Sigmund was all but recovered. He shot up from the bed and held the teapot with both hands. He was trembling with excitement and nearly cried with joy.

“Calm yourself down, Sigmund. You’re going to smash it again,” Russell said jokingly.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

“Bah! You’re going to jinx it. If my baby’s smashed again, I’ll blame you!”

Bonnie smiled when she saw how much Sigmund cherished the teapot. ‘This makes it worth it.’

Ivor reached out and grabbed her arms. “Come with me.”

“What’s this about?”

“You’ll see after you come with me.”

“Okay.”

She was a little confused as she followed his footsteps. Just as both of them left the room, he pinned her to the wall.

“W-What has come over you, Ivor?”

“You lied to me.” He looked at her with pitiful eyes.

She did not have a clue what he was talking about. “I didn’t do anything at all. Why would I lie to you?”

“You did. You said you knew only a little about the clay teapot.”

What he said confused her even more. “I meant it. I only know a little when it comes to clay teapots. I don’t get it. Why are you asking me about this all of a sudden?”
