Her Forever
Chapter 65

Sadie

We arrived at the pack house a few hours later. Not being able to ride in a car considerably slows things down, but it was nice to take in the scenery. It brings a new light to the saying, “stop and smell the roses.” The roads were wide enough for two carriages to pass through and there was a hard surface we were riding on, not on dirt roads like I had thought. It wasn’t the same as cement, but still hard enough to be easy on the coaches and horses.

The horses trotted along and Seth held me in his lap as we passed by a few sub-cities or packs of the Moon Kingdom. As we passed by, there were several representatives and curious wolves to see Seth and I. I felt like a celebrity and all I could do was smile and wave at the small pups screaming out our names, Alpha Seth and Luna Sabrina. I don’t think I would ever get used to this type of attention and fancy names. I think I would always be Sadie and that was what Seth has continued to call me too.

Several pups would run by the carriage and try to hand me flowers and treats. I tried my best to grab them, but Seth would always pull me in and set me back on his lap. He told me it wasn’t very lady-like but, I was never taught how a lady should act, anyway.

We passed by several lakes and ponds and the wildlife I saw was astounding. Animals were not afraid as we went by. There were deer, rabbits and other animals that roamed the meadows without a care in the world. Along with the animals that weren’t afraid were small sprites. Seth said sprites are very aware of their surroundings and dangers, so animals look to them for guidance about predators. Sprites give wild things their peace and harmony, while humans feel nothing but fear. They could be spiteful, Seth said.

Keeping my head out the window, I saw wisps nearby. Ever since the mating ceremony, I loved the wisps even though they cause quite the commotion. Waving frantically and whistling to the wisps they came by and twirled my hair, causing it to curl. I continued to laugh as gave me quick k****s on my cheeks before flying off. I was laughing hysterically when I looked at Seth once. The wisps made their abrupt departure, only to find Seth’s hair full of curls as well. The scowl on his face was the funniest thing I had ever seen.

I kissed him while combing out the tiny tangles in his hair, and he rubbed the sides of my body with his large hands. His hands were so large and calloused with all the training he did. People might see him as a big bad alpha, but I just see him as my big puppy.

I smiled back at him, thinking about our first meeting. He was so large, muscular, tattoos littered his body and to anyone else, he would have been downright frightening. If I only knew what I knew now about mates, I would have run up into his arms and had him take me right then. However, our story is unique to other werewolves and one I will be happy to one day tell our children.

Children. I laughed. All these pups along the road gave me a warm feeling that one day, we would have children. We certainly haven’t used protection. Oh my, we haven’t used protection. My heart raced, and Seth noticed.

“Baby, are you OK? Your heart is racing.” I giggled and put my hand on the back of his neck, caressing his hair that had grown considerably since our first meeting. “I’m nervous,” I sort of lied. I was nervous, but not for the reason he was thinking. I wasn’t sure if I could be a good mother. Sure, I was alright watching others, but to have my own child. To birth, deliver, feed and care for 24/7, I’m not sure if I could do that.

Seth gave me a quick peck on the lips. “We’re close,” he whispered. He pointed out the window to see a beautiful mansion. It was massive, five stories high and the length of two football fields. The forest surrounding the mansion was still light, despite the forest being so thick you could still see the sun’s rays filtering through.

There was a large crowd as we finally made our way around the bend and the gates opened wide after several massive wolves bowed as we entered. My eyes grew at the massive columns and statues as they came into view. There were wolves, tigers, dragons and other large animals in white polished granite lining the driveway. “Shifters tend to live within the Moon Kingdom, especially in the Royal Pack. They pledge their loyalty to the one crown that respects the Moon Goddess’s decisions for mates.” I smiled as he squeezed my waist.

“Do they live with other werewolves?”

“No, they have prides for the felines, thunder for dragons, sleuth for bears, and so on. Some are as big as packs and usually live fairly close to us werewolves. Really, we are more of a shifter kingdom. Your kingdom is very vast as well, so there are a lot of shifters in our nation. There will always be plenty of room for every supernatural culture and species. The vampires, elves, faes and gnomes come from different countries as well. It is most like Earth really, but honestly, it might be bigger.

I nodded at all the information. “I have a lot to learn, apparently.”

“You have plenty of time to learn, baby. Just enjoy the ride for now. You will do great. Keep doing what you are doing and everything falls into place.” I smiled at him and realized we had just come to a halt. Seth told me to wait in the carriage while he spoke to the enormous crowd that had gathered just outside.

My baby blue sundress, that I changed into after our steaming carriage ride was on. I didn’t get a great look at it in a mirror, but it felt as if it held onto every curve of my body. It fit firmly on my waist and flared out around my h**s. Rebecca packed some nude colored heels and had me pull my hair up in a high ponytail so it would cascade down my back. I played with my fingers as I listened to Seth.

My heart soared as I looked among my future pack. There were smiles and laughter from the pups running around and trying to climb up their parents’ shoulders to get a good look. They were excited about their future Luna, as well as their future Alpha returning today. My father came into view and gave me a firm handshake that turned into a hug. He stood beside me, beaming proudly. I was a few inches taller than my father, while he was a stifling 6 foot 7, I had him beat at 6’11,” the largest Alpha of the Warrior Pack to date.

“Greetings everyone! Thank you for the warm welcome!” My father said gruffly as he held his hand in the air to quiet the crowd. “I won’t speak long, because frankly, I’m tired of being Alpha and need to give my son with the rightful title some practice.” The current Beta and Gamma chuckled while winking at me. They were tired of leading too, they were ready to move on.

“My son, your future Alpha as of tomorrow night, has found his LUNA!” The crowd roared again as many threw petals in the air for their Luna. “Son, I will give it to you.” He pats my back and gives him a curt nod.

“Thank you for the introduction, Father,” I smiled as my mother stood to the side beaming with pride. “It is true, it took me some time, but I found my love, my mate and YOUR LUNA!” Again, the crowd started screaming. I could feel Sadie’s nervousness behind me as I held onto her door.

I raised my hand to calm the crowd. “Sadie, or much might know as Sabrina,” the crowd murmured excitedly, “was born human to royal werewolf parents. I found her at the lake with my sister and her friends on Earth, and she did not know our kind. Even though she was human, she was brave, thoughtful, merciful, and ever so graceful and beautiful. She accepted me as who I was without a second question. Thank you Selena!” I looked up as if I was praying to her at that moment while people laughed.

“She is the love of my life and now one of us. Please be gentle as you welcome your Luna and the mother of this pack and future queen of Moon Kingdom.” I opened the door and Sadie gracefully placed one foot on the stair step and the other on the ground. She took my hand, and I led her up to me and wrapped my arm around her waist. Everyone was astonished and took a silent breath in taking in her beauty.

Someone in the background started howling in their human form, and the others joined. Several wolves that were at the gates started running towards us, howling as well. I dipped Sadie backwards, and she giggled with her entire body flushed against mine. I placed a passionate k**s on her lips and savored her sweet flavors of strawberries and champagne.

Bringing her back up to my arms, she covered her face with her hands and gave the biggest smile I could give her as I welcomed her into our pack. Her giggles were contagious as the small pups surrounded her and started handing her random wildflowers that she greedily took. Thanking each one with a k**s on their cheek. Many of the adults cooed at the gesture. One little girl walked up to her and placed a perfectly made white rose crown on her head. Sadie let a small tear drop as she touched her crown.

Once her giant bouquet was in her hand, I announced, “now I heard there was a feast to be had! Let’s get the party started!” Cheers went all around and we were led to the back of the pack house.

Sadie had little time to eat. She held her flowers as each pack member wanted to have their time with their future Luna. There was a long line for people to speak with her, but I walked up to her waving them off. “You will have time to speak with her later. Let your Luna eat!” Many g*****d and walked away, and Sadie gave a slightly annoyed look.

“Don’t be mean,” she chastised while touching my chest. I growled lightly and pulled her to me. I lead her to the feasting area. We had parties so often that we had permanent cement tables that lined the patio. The chefs came by and would often refill platters of meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. We were a pack of almost 1000 members, very large in pack standards.

Warriors had been set up around the perimeter to scout out for any threats. I wasn’t taking anything lightly with Sadie’s safety. Ever since her mother said she would be the center of any war or battle, I was determined to prevent it. Sadie seemed to be oblivious to the extra security, and I was going to continue with it. I wanted her to feel safe in her new home and concentrate more on us and ruling this pack together.

I filled Sadie’s plate full of food because she kept being bothered by the little pups giving her drawings of her and them playing. With many promises that she made to play with them tomorrow, I grabbed her arm gently and made her come with me. “Baby, you need to eat. You didn’t eat breakfast and we are already nearing mid-afternoon.” She sighed and sat on my lap while I fed her. It had become a tradition I started the first day I marked her. All male wolves liked to feed their mates. It was proper and showed how we can provide for our mates.

Sadie’s eyes always looked at me the entire time she ate. I couldn’t believe she was mine. Her soft features gave light to my darkened soul. If she ever knew of the evil, I had done to our enemies, I’m not sure she would stay. She was so pure, even if I had corrupted her in the bedroom, she would always be pure. Sadie started giggling when I put a bit of whipped cream on her nose. I reached up and licked it off her and she gasped. She had a sly smirk on her lips as she sat up to whisper in my ear.

“I think we should take a bowl of whipped cream to our room and let me…” she stopped speaking and started biting her lips. I could feel an evil glint in my eye and Caspian started howling in my head.

“The gods have blessed me!” I said a bit too loud while the elders of the pack looked over. I ran and carried her bridal style up the stairs, along with the bowl of whipped cream.
