Chapter 42

Sadie

“Close your eyes,” Seth whispered in my ear. It tickled me slightly and gave me chills down my back. I closed my eyes and held onto Seth’s neck tighter as I felt each footstep step in the grass. We slowed, and Seth gave me a quick peck on the side of my head. “Open them.”

When I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful setting. There was a small tee-pee-like structure on the side of the clearing. It was covered in deep blue, almost black canvas to keep the nighttime air out. At the entrance, there is an abundance of blankets and pillows, along with small finger foods of snacks at its entrance. Chocolate-covered strawberries, a small thermos of something warm, and small cheeses and crackers on the side. The fire before the opening was small, just enough to keep us warm. What caught my eye the most were the tiny blue lights covering the structure.

“I know you enjoy the fake fairy lights you put up for Diana and Nathan, but I thought I would do something better.” The blue lights that were swarming the large tee-pee came closer to us as Seth held me tight. They swirled around us, causing my hair to fly upwards. One small light came and tapped me on the nose and continued their assault to push us forward to our romantic setting.

“What are these things? Are they fairies?” I laughed as one sat on my shoulder. It made a loud buzzing sound, as if to be annoyed at me, and continued to fly around the fire.

“Oh no, fairies are a bit bigger. These are wisps.” The wisps continued to dance around the fire and poke fun at each other while continuing to swirl around us to make us come closer. I continued to laugh at their funny horseplay until they finally flew off into the sky.

“How did you get them to come here?” I sighed as I took a bite of chocolate strawberry. “I was owed a favor by one fae, and he talked to a few wisps to come by.” Seth took the rest of my strawberry with his mouth, engulfing my fingers as he sucked them dry.

My eyes went from my fingers to his eyes to his lips. I couldn’t help but lick my lips in anticipation of kissing him. Seth smiled and teased me as he laid on his side with his hand propping his head up. I gave him a playful glare as he ate another strawberry.

“Thank you for this, and you have really outdone yourself. I’ve seen nothing more beautiful.” I looked up to the sky, and the moon was full and small fireflies whose light couldn’t compare to the wisps played on the out in the clearing’s open. Seth rubbed my back as I lay down on my back while he looked down at me, his head still propped upon his hand. Fingers gently traced my lips as I stared back into his eyes. I could lose myself just by staring into his gorgeous face.

“I have something to tell you,” He muttered as he traced my face with his finger.

“What is it?”

“The Ministry came by while you were napping, and the magic has left your system quicker than they thought.” Seth glanced at my face, waiting for a reaction from me. “Really, now? They said that, huh?” I teased.

“They did.” Seth continued to circle around my shoulder where his mark would go.

“Did you have something in mind, my dear Alpha?”

“I just wanted to let you know you will be safe when it is time for the mating ceremony.” He trailed off. The poor man was holding back, waiting for me to say something. Little does he know, I am ready, more than prepared, to be with him.

“When is the mating ceremony again?” I asked with disinterest. This was almost too easy.

“Another week.” He kissed my lips. Here goes nothing. I’m going to be the bold one, for once.

“Do we have to wait until then?” I looked up through my lashes as seductively as I could. Seth’s head snapped back to look into my eyes. The shock was written on his face.

I sat up, moving Seth to lie down as I straddled him. Quickly kissing his lips and grinding my heat against him, he let out a small g***n. “Baby, just like that.” My hands went up to his hair and gave him a little tug, and I could feel his muscles beneath me start to contract. “I want you to have me, Seth. All of me.” I whispered in his ear.

With one swift motion, he pulled me inside the large tee-pee. There was a mattress with pillows and blankets all askew, and small candles lit the interior. The light was dim and the smell of vanilla incense filtered through the air. “You are so beautiful,” Seth said as he hovered over me on the mattress. His k**s was slow, sensual, and passionate. His tongue ran across mine, and my arms grabbed hold of his large biceps.

We pulled and tugged each other’s clothing off of each other’s bodies until we both lay naked under the blankets. Seth kissed down my neck into the valley of my peeks while his hands roamed my backside. He quickly sucked and nibbled at each breast, pulling and tugging with his lips and teeth. I m****d his name, which seemed to excite him more. The small bit of pain gave me pleasure I didn’t know existed. We both had small chills of pleasure run through our skin.

Seth dipped his hand down to my core and g*****d. “You are so wet for me, Love. I’ve barely touched you.” His finger entered my heat, and I loudly m****d and grabbed his hair. He continued his assault on me, adding two, then three fingers. I felt so full, but I knew what was yet to come will be much, much more.

Seth looked up at me as to be lowered his head. His tongue licked my sensitive bud as my head flew backward into the blankets. Seth’s fingers began their assault again as he sucked my bundle of nerves hard. His face was still wet from sucking on my most sensitive parts as he rose above my head. “We can go slow, Love. We don’t have to do anything tonight.”

A small whine came from my lips, “no, I want to be yours.”

A growl left Seth’s mouth, and he kissed me hard and fast. I could feel his member close to my core, and it was hot and in need. A small gasp left me as he probed my entrance with the tip of himself. Slowly, he entered me, painfully slow. I wanted to feel his entire length in my body. He inched in until he hit the wall of my innocence. “Love, it will hurt but only for a little, alright?” I gave a quick nod. I knew it was going to hurt, but I still wanted it. I wanted all of him to be completely mine.

With one quick push, I yelped in the pinch it gave me. A few tears left my eyes as Seth waited for my pain to stop. He peppered me with k****s and whispered sweet nothings into my ear. “You are mine, and I am yours. You are such a good girl, and you are my love, my life, my everything.” I grabbed hold of his face to k**s his lips. I could still taste a bit of myself on his tongue.

Seth moved in and out, and I squirmed at the feeling. I was so full; I didn’t know how to feel, but then I felt pleasure. He moved at such an angle it hit a spot I’ve never known. Tingles were across my body and in my body as the pit of my stomach built. I g*****d in his ear as I nibbled him. “That’s it, let it come, baby,” Seth said as he continued his assault on my core.

His pace quickened, and our breaths became uneven. I could feel my climax approaching, and he was, too. “Seth, so close,” I whispered as I tilted my h**s up to meet his. “Hold it for me, baby, we do it together,” his voice was harsh; his voice sounded deeper.

“Seth, I can’t….” I am trying to hold it as best I could, and then I felt it. His head buried into my neck as he quickly bit down hard on my flesh. I felt pain for a fraction of a second until my bliss finally arrived. I saw stars, fireworks, or possibly a nuclear explosion. The inside of my eyelids became the most interesting thing. I could feel Seth not just on top of me and inside me, but also in my mind. I could feel his peace, his turmoil, his love, and his worry. Worry that I was alright.

I looked up at him with hazed eyes as he looked down at me. A bit of b***d was still on the corner of his lips. Smiling at him, I tried to lift one hand up to his face but failed miserably. He chuckled, a laugh that I loved so much. “I love you,” I whispered in his ear.

“And I love you, my precious mate.”

My eyelids became heavy. Staying awake was torture. Seth sensed my worry and immediately said to sleep. Being marked can take a lot out on a human Rebecca once read. I hummed in response as Seth gathered me in his arms. Our naked bodies intertwined with one another as we continued to listen to the crickets, the last of the summer, squeak into the night.

The following day, I was stiff. Seth had wholly engulfed me in his arms, and there was no way I was going to get out of his hold. His gentle snores blew through my ear, only excited something within me. I felt tingles throughout my body, but something else. I didn’t feel alone in my mind. It was the strangest thing. Feeling like someone was staring at me, but not quite there in the physical sense.

Concentrating with all my might, I closed my eyes and tried to look into my mind. As crazy as it sounds, it was like there was a veil, a veil, that I could move and see a completely different scene. There was a meadow with wildflowers, like the one I saw in the dream where I met Artemis. I could see myself in a white dress and looking off across the field. I wasn’t alone, yet I couldn’t see anyone there.

Taking a few steps in front of me, I heard a gentle gruff from behind me. Turning around, I see a small wolf or fox? If it was a wolf, it was tiny compared to Seth’s giant wolf. In fact, it looks like an ordinary wolf, except it had a red tint to its fur with a white underbelly and tip of the tail. I sat down in the grass and looked at her; somehow, I knew it was, in fact, her. She looked up at me and looked at the hand I was holding out to see if she would let me pet her.

She took a few steps back and sat on her hindquarters and just stared at me. Looking at her questioningly, I spoke to her. “Hi, I’m Sadie,” I said in the most friendly voice I could muster. The small wolf looked at me from side to side and gave a slight nod. “You are such a pretty wolf. Do you have a name?” I knew Seth’s wolf was Caspian, but I didn’t know if anyone else named their wolves. Maybe only Alpha’s name their wolves.

The little wolf nodded her head, but I heard an echoing voice through my head. It sounded male, and then I realized it was Seth. Standing up slowly and backing away, I waved goodbye to the tiny thing. “I have to go now. Maybe I will see you soon?” She nodded, and I went back through the veil from where I came from.

Opening my eyes, I see Seth’s eyes laced with worry. “Where have you been, Love? You weren’t sleeping, but you were so far away.” Sitting up, I saw I was still naked and covered myself with a sheet. A slight growl left Seth’s lips as I lightly tapped his chest.

“What happened last night? Why did I pass out afterward so fast? It was like I couldn’t control my body.” Seth pushed his hands through his hair and sighed.

“Caspian slipped out at the end, Sadie. I’m so sorry, but he not only marked you but bit hard enough for you to change.”

My eyes grew wide at the realization. “I’m surprised you woke up at all. Some human mates are out quite a while, or so I’ve heard.” Seth grabbed me and held me close, and I laid my head on his shoulder.

“You’re right. I wasn’t sleeping. I think I saw my wolf.” I whispered. “She wouldn’t come near me to touch her, so I let her be. I think she just needs time.” Seth nodded.

“It will take a few days, sometimes weeks, for your wolf to get strong enough to talk back or for you to even shift. I’m surprised you met her already, though. That is quite early. What does she look like? Do you know?”

I laughed, “you won’t believe it.” Seth grabbed my hand and put it to his face. “Tell me.”

“Like a little fox,” I giggled.
