Her Forever -
(Book 2)- Epilogue
Rosalie was straightening a picture over her headboard of their bed in their brand new home. The Southern-plantation style home was considerably smaller than the large packhouse that was just over a mile away but it was hers and Jack’s nonetheless. It sported 5 bedrooms, all of those were vacant besides their large master bedroom on the second floor.
The bottom floor was an open-concept style with all the latest furnishings. Whites, light greys, and creams covered the area. Small plants that Rosalie had always loved such as succulents, dragon trees, and parlor palms. The cream-colored leather couches had brightly colored pillows that compliment each piece of the room. Large bookshelves donned her favorite novels as well as Jack’s who also had his business textbooks. It was purposefully dressed that way. Growing up in dark basements and living in small dull apartments the first 20 years of her life was enough. Jack humored her and let her do whatever she wanted with the house as long as he had his ‘Wolf den,’ in the basement.
It was completely decked out in large flat-screen TVs, video game consoles, pool tables, and poker tables. It was the hotspot for the mated warriors while the packhouse housed more of the unmated few.
Jack had a small office at the front of the home, so pack members could come by in the evening for any urgent matters to take care of, which was usually just a bunch of Elders that didn’t know how to schedule a meeting properly.
“Kitten, you shouldn’t be up there!” Jack took long strides into their light blue bedroom with a creamed-colored comforter. Rosalie was balancing on the bed, trying to straighten their mating/Luna ceremony photo. The red dress hung around her tiny waist and Rosalie could only sigh as Jack lifted her back into his arms, carrying her bridal style back to set her on the floor. “Do you think I’ll ever get my body back?” Rosalie rubbed her abnormally large belly as she looked at their picture.
“Kitten, you are a Werewolf, of course, you’ll get your body back. Even if you didn’t, I’d still ravage you every night, like I do now,” he growled playfully in her ear. Rosalie giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“I love you, babe,” she nuzzled into his neck.
“And I love-” before another word could be spoken, a shrill of a scream came bouncing into the room.
“LEELEE!” The boy screamed in excitement and ran to her arms. With a loud thud, Erik fell to the floor at Rosalie’s feet. “What did I say about running in the house?” Rosalie laughed while picking the 5-year-old up. “To not to,” he sniffed and rubbed his knee.
“What would your Mumma say? Running in here like some crazed rogue Wolf?” Erik gasped and heard a light tapping of the floor behind him. “There you are, I said you could go visit after your lunch.” Astrid strolled up to Rosalie and pried the boy off of her. Before she could, Erik nuzzled Rosalie’s cheek and finally let go.
“I’m your brother but you talk to your sister-in-law like she is your real sister!” Jack whined playfully. “Leelee is nice, she lays in bed with me to help me sweep. Leelee keeps the demon monsters away! She killed one Jackie!” Jack g*****d at the nickname. He hated that nickname, almost as much as Sampson hated it when Rosalie called him puppy. Sampson snickered inside his head causing him to huff.
“Yes she did,” Jack grabbed him from his mothers arms. “She’s the strongest Luna in all of the Earth Realm.” Erik gave Jack a final hug before being brought back to Astrid.
“Sorry to bother you both, Erik wouldn’t lay down for a nap until he saw the both of you. I swear you guys are more of his parents than your father and I.” Astrid bounced Erik, lulling him to sleep.
The three years after the ceremony, Jack had gotten to work on the nice-sized house for Rosalie. She threw up some plans in no time, saying she always loved watching Gone with the Wind on old library computers when she spent her time there. Rosalie definitely scaled-down the house to a moderate size but still had the southern charm she had loved.
“I just hope he takes well to having a new playmate. They might as well grow up as siblings,” Rosalie spoke. “I’ve been thinking of changing one of the guest rooms into a place Erik could stay if they want to have sleepovers.”
True to Odin’s word, Astrid and Odin decided to stay back in the home pack of the Night Crawlers. Odin wasn’t kidding when he said his son had become too soft on the warriors and the security of the boundaries, even though they were just fine. Odin just needed an excuse to stay and watch his family grow.
“I think he would love that,” Astrid began stroking Erik’s head as his eyes started to flutter shut. “Here, lay him here and we can go downstairs.” Rosalie pulled the blanket up on Erik who nuzzled into her own pillow. Sensing he wasn’t going to wake, they all walked down the stairs to see Lolli and Benjamin eating the leftover pizza from the fridge.
“When we moved into our own house, I thought we would get a bit of privacy,” Jack g*****d while he held a tight hold on Rosalie’s waist.
“Nope!” Benjamin popped the p. Being neighbors was the best idea ever!” Lolli giggled at Benjamin while she patted her small belly. She was newly pregnant and craved anything that Rosalie was craving. That’s what happens when you spend every day together. Amanda wasn’t any different, she was also sporting a slightly larger bump and was due within the next month.
Rosalie smiled at the group. “I don’t think I could possibly be any happier. I’ve got the family I’ve always dreamed of right here. You can invade our home anytime you like. Just you guys though, I don’t need the whole pack in here,” she chuckled. They all agreed as many reached for a slice of the leftover pizza.
Rosalie felt a slight pain in her lower belly. She was accustomed to pain, the round ligament and the sciatic nerve gave her the worst of it. There were some nights where Jack would rub her lower belly and massage her rear-end to give her some relief. It was all he could do to hold back from taking her. Her plump a*s was just like a ripe peach, ready for him to sink his teeth into. The past few days though, she said things were off-limits, saying there wasn’t enough room for his large c**k and a baby. He chuckled at that thought––even though it was probably true. Even when in enormous amounts of pain, she would always boost his ego with her words. It was almost as good as taking her to the kitchen counter. Almost.
Rosalie grabbed her lower abdomen and felt the pain radiate from her lower belly, but started to encompass her entire stomach. “Ahh!” she felt a sharp pop and a trickle-down her legs. Feeling completely embarrassed she started to back away from the kitchen table. “Kitten, what’s wrong?” Jack’ senses went into overdrive and could instantly smell something sweet with a hint of metallic. “Your water broke!” He exclaimed excitedly.
Jack had been hovering over her since day one. He tended to her every need and touched her growing belly constantly, wanting to be part of every moment with their pup growing inside of her. “Mom, please go get our bag upstairs, I’m going to take her to the packhouse.” The pack doctor was linked immediately and said she would be there as soon as they arrived.
Meanwhile, Rosalie was in an enormous amount of pain. The contractions were coming in quickly and lasting for long periods of time. In all the pregnancy books she had read, she knew the first baby should take some time, but this one was hell-bent on coming out. Jack held out his hand to help her walk but stopped immediately holding her stomach. “I-I c-can’t,” she cried. Jack patiently waited until her contraction had passed and picked her up bridal style to the car.
Keith was outside, chopping wood, he and his mate had decided to move on the same street as the Alpha. His mate was nursing their twin children to sleep at the moment inside their nursery. “Keith, drive us to the packhouse, Rosalie is going to have the baby!” Keith threw down his ax, sweat still dripping from his brow, and bolted to his truck. Rosalie was nestled close to Jack and whimpering while she held onto his hand, squeezing. Keith swore he could hear a few bones breaking. Jack didn’t let his stoic face show any emotion. He was concentrating on Rosalie.
The pain in her belly extended all over her body, the sweat was now pooling around her. The contractions were coming hard and fast, she didn’t think she would make the drive to the packhouse that was only a mile away. “Hang on, sweetheart. Everything is going to be alright,” Jack tried to soothe his mate. “Concentrate on your breathing.”
“Concentrate on your breathing, you are breathing down my neck is making me hot!” She screamed as another contraction ripped through her. Jack sat back and continued to pull her hair out of her face. He knew she was in pain so he didn’t let it bother him. Keith held in a chuckle as they pulled up.
Without waiting for the engine to be turned off, Jack gripped Rosalie tightly who let out a g***n of pain. The clinic doors opened abruptly for Alpha and Luna to enter. “In here, Alpha!” one of the nurses called and they were led to the birthing room.
“It’s here! I feel it!” She was hastily put on the table and Jack cradled her head while they lifted half the bed so gravity would help with the baby to descend. It was easy for the nurses to pull up her dress and address the situation, the doctor had just entered the room, fully dressed and ready to deliver. The nurses gasped and quickly got the supplies from the side of the room.
“What’s wrong!?” Jack demanded, the nurses continued to shuffle across the room, gathering the supplies. The doctor looked at Jack and down back at Rosalie. “The head is out, but the cord is tripled wrapped around the head. Luna, I’m going to need you to push.”
Jack’s face grew worried as he looked at Rosalie, her face filled with sweat and pain. He had never wanted to see this, ever since the time, he picked her up from facing a demon all on her own. “Come on Kitten, push for me. Get our baby out.” Rosalie took all the strength she had and let out one long, final push.
They had decided against finding out the gender of the baby and doing ultrasounds, wanting to make sure it was a complete surprise. The thought her nameless baby might be in trouble stirred something in her and with a mighty push, the baby was released. The cord was unwrapped and a large gasp came from the baby. Strong, mighty cries escaped from its lips. “A girl!” The doctor cried and Jack, along with Rosalie’s face, beamed with excitement. Rosalie grabbed Jack’s arm as he came down and kissed her sweetly.
The baby was wrapped and brought to Rosalie’s chest in which it quickly found her breast and she began to feed her. “She’s so beautiful, Kitten, just like you.” Jack took his large hand and gently stroked the baby’s head which caused it to let out a small whine. Once the baby was finished, it tried with all its might to open her little eyes.
Jack took the baby from Rosalie as they began to clean her from her afterbirth, Jack held her close to his bare chest to give it warmth. The baby snuggled into him deeply, inhaling his scent. A small smile graced his lips as the baby fell asleep. Rosalie looked longingly at her mate, how proud she was to have him as a mate, to have him as a person. None of this was ever possible if it weren’t without him.
“What should we name her?” Rosalie whispered. Jack sat next to Rosalie on the bed and draped his arm across her back so she could confide in his warmth. “I’m not sure, what do you think?” Rosalie hummed while nuzzling up to Jack.
“How about, Parisa?” Jack raised his eyebrows at the name, it was different and exotic. “It’s beautiful, where did you hear such a name, Kitten?”
“It came to me,” she whispered while Parisa slept. “I think she will do great things in the future.” Parisa started to grunt and snuggle closer to her mother’s voice. “I think you are right, Kitten. Any of our children you bear will hold great importance.”
Erik came running into the hospital room as quietly as he could. He popped his little 5-year-old head up and stared at the baby before him. “Is this Niece? Niece is pwetty!” Astrid and Odin walked into the room, the now large room seemed a bit smaller as the whole family surrounded the bed. All eyes were on Rosalie and baby Parisa.
“She is the sweetest thing. This is the first girl in many generations for Jack’s side of the family,” Astrid cooed. “Yes, this will go down as a great mark in history for the Storms.” He smiled with pride.
“Great job son,” Odin slapped him on the back which earned a small growl. “Rosalie did the work, I just had the fun.” All of them began to laugh as they all took turns holding baby Parisa.
“Niece sweeps awot.” Erik complained.
“You did too, Erik. It was rather boring the first month.” Rosalie jokes. “And her name is Parisa, not niece. She is your niece but that isn’t her name.”
“I like Niece,” Erik pouted.
“Alright, time for the new Mom and Dad to get some rest,” Odin laughed as he picked up Erik and sat him on top of his shoulders. Sleep well, you two. The fun is just starting.”
Jack and Rosalie basked in the darkness as Parisa continued to sleep. Their little family felt complete, but Jack often commented how he wouldn’t mind a few more pups in the future. “Hold on there, I just popped out one, give me a break. How about 150 years huh? Just like your parents?” Jack scoffed.
“No, I want our children to grow up together, it was lonely sometimes.” Rosalie nodded and let out a giggle. “This picture-perfect family couldn’t get any more perfect,” she thought.
