Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 662
Flora slept in until a little past 5 p.m. When she woke up, Connor was nowhere to be found.
As she made her way downstairs, she saw Kruz sitting on a small stool by the kitchen door, looking a bit pitiful as he sorted through vegetables. Connor was inside the kitchen, busy chopping away. Flora walked over. "Need any help?"
Kruz shook his head. "In the Falcone family, we have a rule: no women in the kitchen. Cooking is a man's job."
He wasn't making it up. The Falcone family did have such a tradition, sparing all the daughters-in-law from kitchen duties for most of their lives.
Of course, tradition or not, Kruz wouldn't dare ask Flora for help. His brother was watching. If he asked her to assist, Connor might just have his head.
With a stern look, he said, "So, uh... Flora, you should just relax on the couch and watch some TV. Dinner will be ready soon."
Flora raised an eyebrow. "Alright."
After dinner, Kruz obediently went to wash the dishes. It was still early, and no one felt like hitting the hay just yet, so they suggested playing a game.
"Moss and Beck, me, brother, and Flora-perfect! We can team up for a five-player game!"
Kruz clutched his phone, visibly excited.
Connor thought the game was pretty silly. He wasn't keen on playing, but seeing Flora's interest, he decided to join in.
Kruz rolled up his sleeves, ready for battle! He had high hopes for his brother. Connor was good at everything, so games should be a breeze, right? He was sure Connor would carry the team!
But...
"Wait, why'd you pick a support role? And why are you in the mid-lane? Come here, come here! What are you doing? Let the minions go first!"
"Bro, heal me! I'm right behind you! Why are you following Flora? Ah, I'm dead!"
"Bro!!! Come back, you can't take them on. Where's your ultimate? Use your ultimate! Ah, you died again!"
The room echoed with Kruz's heart-wrenching cries.
Flora silently covered her face.
Connor's gameplay... was something else.
She couldn't bear to watch....
She discovered yet another thing Connor wasn't good at.
After the game ended, Connor, feeling a bit irritable, put down his phone and glanced at Kruz,
looked pitiful. His dark eyesol
narrowed. "Are you blaming me?"
Kruz: "..."
He wouldn't dare.
Connor thought he shouldn't have let Kruz stay. The kid was just too much trouble.
"Playing again?"
He looked at Flora, who cooperatively shook her head. "Nah, let's not. How about we head back to our room?"
Connor nodded, took her hand, and they headed upstairs.
Moss and Beck also left together.
The spacious room was now just Kruz, the lone single guy.
He secretly messaged Flora: "Next time, let's not include your brother. We can play on our own. His skills are terrible. You're pretty good, though. We should team up for ranked sometime."

When Flora got back to the room, she went to the bathroom, leaving her phone on the bed. Kruz's message popped up just as Connor glanced at it. Connor: "...Huh."
Great.
...
Due to the time difference, it was already night in Austenberg, while it was still daytime in the U.S.
Outside the medical organization's
private ward, Selene and Orla stood
in the corridor, shivering as they
listened to the scolding coming from inside.
Mr. Atticus had been in there for over an hour...
What kind of scolding was he enduring?
Another half hour passed before Mr. Atticus finally emerged from the ward.
His complexion was ashen, looking quite frightful.
