"Big talker," Brianna muttered, rolling her eyes. She couldn't be bothered with her anymore. First, she claimed Connor was her fiancé, and now she's saying she knows Jules. How could she be such a fibber?

...

Finally, the day of the competition arrived. It was a Saturday, and the school had arranged a shuttle bus to ferry everyone to and from the venue. The competition was held at Maple Grove Stadium, which was just a forty-minute ride from the University of Maple Grove.

Mr. Jurado was in charge of the team. Unlike most teachers who would fuss and remind their students about a thousand things before a competition, Mr. Jurado was different. After saying, "Just do your best," he took his seat and promptly dozed off.

They set off at eight in the morning and arrived at the venue at exactly eight-fifty. Stepping off the shuttle bus, they were greeted by a sea of people outside the stadium, a mass of heads as far as the eye could see. Each school's students wore their custom uniforms, complete with their school badges on their chests.

The University of Maple Grove sported red uniforms with white badges, making them quite eye-catching among the crowd.

"Look! It's the University of Maple Grove team!"

Seeing the team from the University of Maple Grove, students from other schools waiting outside the stadium got visibly excited. Besides being the top university in the country, there was another reason the University of Maple Grove was in the spotlight this time: among their contestants was a freshman from the medical department. It was somewhat preposterous.

"Flora is from the medical department, yet she's representing the computer science department in the competition. This must mean her computing skills are really impressive. I wish I could compete against her."

"But I find it ridiculous. It's a competition for computer science, yet someone from the medical department is participating... It just doesn't sit right with me."

Since the competition hadn't started yet, everyone was idly chatting. Ivan and the others listened and silently scoffed at the ignorance. They'll soon see just how awesome our Flora is! "Look! It's Aisha!"

Just then, a wave of cheers erupted from the crowd! Aisha walked down from her limo in large strides. She was invited as a special celebrity guest. Every year, the university league competition would invite celebrities to not only increase the event's popularity but also boost the celebrities' profiles. It was a win-win.

To match her persona of a "second-generation" girl, she was dressed in a cosplay outfit today. Innocent yet seductive, she was a dream come true for many nerdy boys! Even Flora couldn't help but click her tongue in admiration. No wonder she was a national goddess; her persona was meticulously crafted. Had it not been for Flora knowing her true colors, even she might have been fooled by her gentle and charming appearance. In this aspect, Cecelia from her brother's company couldn't compare.

At nine o'clock, the stadium doors opened, and everyone started to enter and find their seats. The competition was divided into three rounds.

The first round was a buzzer quiz with a hundred questions. Four teams participated simultaneously, and the team with the most correct answers advanced to the next round.

The second round was a written test, where teams worked together to answer questions. The team with the highest score would move on to the next round.

The third round was practical application.

Mr. Jurado went up to draw lots and pulled out number fourteen. The teams drawing the same number were from the Foreign Language University, the University of Technology, and the Aeronautical University.
