Chapter 992 The Sadistic Torture

"Ah!" Evelyn immediately cried out in pain, tears streaming down her face. It didn't feel like a punch but rather a brutal blow from a hammer.

It hurt so much. It was the kind of pain that the bones broke and pierced into the flesh. Enduring such intense pain while fully conscious, she immediately broke into a cold sweat.

"A loser?" Hawk's eyes widened with fury, his hair seemingly standing on end. "How dare you call me a loser?"

He never allowed anyone to say that about him. He was so powerful, had so many subordinates, and many people worked for him one after another. The lives and deaths of those people were all in his hands. He was no longer the weak Hawk in the past. He was not a loser but a ruler!

His sick and twisted psyche was fully revealed through his violent actions. That handsome yet sinister face turned horrifying. He didn't stop tormenting Evelyn, venting his hatred onto this innocent body. One punch after another landed on her back and waist. Evelyn had never felt such real pain in her life.

Hawk might not continue violating her, but there was a high chance that she would be beaten to death. The pain she endured wasn't just superficial; it felt as if it was penetrating through her skin and into her internal organs.

After an unknown amount of time, Evelyn could no longer discern Hawk's enraged words. The scene in front of her began to blur. The excruciating pain exceeded her body's limits, gradually numbing her. Finally, as Hawk delivered the last strike, she succumbed to unconsciousness.

Evelyn's provocation enraged Hawk. All those words that he had never wanted to hear in all these years were spoken by this woman beneath him. She had made him angry, and therefore, she had to endure this punishment.

When Hawk finally regained his senses and finished venting his rage, the woman beneath him remained motionless, lifeless.

The original clean sheets had been stained with large pieces of blood. Evelyn's previously unblemished body was covered in scars, both big and small, inflicted by him. The slap on her face had caused her left cheek to swell completely, with a hint of a bruised, bluish hue.

Is she dead?

Hawk reached out to feel her breath. It was very light, and if one didn't feel it carefully, they wouldn't be able to detect it.

Hawk lowered his eyes, and the hair on his forehead blocked his angry brown eyes. The restlessness in his body gradually calmed down, replaced by a kind of indescribable emptiness and loneliness.

He had always lived alone, with only the poppy flowers outside the window as his companions. This room was his sanctuary, but now it was tainted red with the blood of this woman.

Hawk gazed at his hands, stained with dried blood, and furrowed his brow. In this silent and empty moment, a trace of his true emotions finally surfaced.

It was so annoying. Even the blood of this woman was annoying.

But why was his heart in turmoil?

Perhaps it was because the scars that hadn't been touched by anyone for years were exposed once again, or perhaps it was due to other reasons. Without dwelling on it, Hawk calmly and indifferently got up from the bed. He helped Evelyn put on her clothes and then turned around, leaving the bedroom.

When the subordinates guarding the door saw him coming out, they bowed respectfully.

They heard the screams of agony coming from the room. It was not just witnessing it firsthand that was overwhelming. Even just hearing it made their legs weak.

Hawk walked out without looking back, leaving only a few light words. "Ask the doctor to come and have a look. Don't let her die."
