Dragon Master novel Maximilian
Chapter 702 Childhood Sweethearts

A brand-new day began.

Flora went into the office with anxiety.

Maximilian looked up at Flora and said as he tapped the chair beside him, "Take a seat. Look at your worried face. Did something happen? If there's anything, tell me. There's nothing I can't deal with. Just trea me as Superman."

Flora forced a smile, sat down next to Maximilian, and said weakly with her head down, "Am I a jinx who always brings bad luck to you?"

"How can you think that way? Life is all about ups and downs. Just be an optimistic person. Everything will get better."

Maximilian tried to straighten out the dispirited Flora as he gave her head a rub.

After Maximilian enlightened her, Flora was finally in a better mood. She took out her phone and showed Maximilian the chatting history between Dillon and her.

"This is my chatting history with Dillon. Dillon and I are... kind of childhood sweethearts. But later I was taken away by Harley, while he was sent to a training base by him. It's said that it's a base to train killing skills. Now that Harley leaked out my information to Dillon, Dillon threatened to kill you."

Flora believed that all this was caused by her, and therefore, she was the source of all problems. She thought she was a jinx.

Maximilian glanced over the chatting history very quickly and said with a smile, "So this is why you're not happy. Come on. Smile. Such a trifle can be sorted out very easily, and you don't have to worry about it."

"How can I not be worried? It's said that people from that training base fight all the time and they can die at any moment. Since Dillon came back alive, it means he's good at it." Flora got even more anxious.

Flora had seen Maximilian fighting and knew he was also good at it. But at this point, she was filled with anxiety and her mind was in turmoil.

"No matter how good he is, he can't get out of my control. Rest assured. I can crush him with a snap. He is no match for me," Maximilian said confidently.

Flora saw Maximilian didn't care about it and said in annoyance, "Would you pay more attention to it? It's not as simple as you thought. Let me show you something else."

Flora took her phone back, opened Dillon's Moments, and asked Maximilian to take a look at it.

One of the posts was about Dillon picking up his friends at the airport. There was a group photo of four, including Dillon. The other three people looked rather ferocious. They were not some kind people. Another post was about Dillon taking his three friends hunting in the mountain. They caught two wolves. Few hunters nowadays were able to hunt wolves.

There were also many other pictures of Dillon hanging out with his three friends. The latest post was about Dillon having target practice with them in the shooting range, with the caption, "Since we've had a great time, it's time to get revenge. Get ready to die."

"See that? Dillon is malicious. He'll do something to you. The reason he called three friends was to deal with you as a group! Besides, Dillon's father seems to be an official in H City too. I don't know whether Harley arranged that job for him on purpose or not. I heard that his father is a police inspector in H City. He manages all the policemen!"

Flora stared at Maximilian with apprehension and self-accusation.

Maximilian put down the phone and gave an assured smile. "Do you think they can beat me? I don't think you know me that well. I can fix them easily. Don't worry." Flora said nothing, but there was a hint of amazement in her eyes when she looked out of the window.

"They're coming. Dillon and his people are coming. Hide now. Let me deal with Dillon."

Flora looked about the office in a panic, wanting to find a place for Maximilian to hide.

Maximilian grabbed Flora's hand and pinched it gently. "Don't get nervous and calm down. This is nothing. Just take a seat and watch the show securely."

"You... You can't have an accident. If anything happens to you, what shall I do? I will never have any peace for the rest of my life."

Flora's eyes turned red. Suddenly, she extended both hands and took Maximilian in her arms.

The office door was pushed open abruptly. Dillon saw Flora holding Maximilian tight and burst with anger. He felt as if a fire was spurting out of his mouth and nose.

"Fine! Since both of you are here, I'll take your lives today!" Dillon snarled.

"Dillon, what are you going to do? Don't do anything against the law!" Flora said nervously.

"Well, doesn't matter. I'll go abroad after this! I won't come back to this sad place ever again! Everything is because of you. Today, I will let you have a good time before I kill you. I'm going to put an end to my past crush on you."

Dillon put on an evil smile and looked weird.

"Well, Dillon, no wonder you didn't accept Hannah's love. So it was because of this girl. But apparently, she has chosen to be with the other man."

"Lucas, shut up. I asked you to come here for help, not for laughing at me. There's no 'the other man' at all because I've been carrying a torch all the time." Now that Dillon was embarrassed by his teammate, he got even angrier.

"Dillon, just cool down. One can never be too demanding and in a relationship at the same time. This chick is hot. Let's enjoy her together later, but now we'll fix this loser for you first." Lucas ogled Flora. Flora hid behind Maximilian, a chill coming over her. If something bad happened, she would rather commit suicide than fall into their hands.

Cross-legged, Maximilian looked at the four of them leisurely. "Stop bullshitting on my turf, or I'll teach you a lesson."

"Hey, how dare you say that to us? You're a good-for-nothing, not a patch on us. Just enjoy the pain bestowed upon you by us later." Lucas took out a pair of brass knuckles and put them on as he spoke. The spikes on the brass knuckles glinted coldly. At the point of the spikes, there were blood slots, which were rare to see on ordinary brass knuckles.

"Let me teach you a lesson first. I heard from Dillon that you were pretty good at fighting. I just want to see how good you can be." Lucas jerked his neck and jumped in place, seeming to be warming up. Dillon narrowed his eyes slightly and warned, "Lucas, don't underestimate him. This loser is really good. I checked his background information. He's a strong fighter."

"Well well, what did I hear? A loser and a strong fighter at the same time? You must be kidding. I'm the bane of losers. Let me show you my deadly blow, hahaha!"☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
