After breakfast, Callum served fruits he had prepared earlier and placed them in front of Trenton. He said, "Have this with your sister." Trenton complied.

Camryn then sat on the sofa while Trenton stood opposite her with a nervous gaze.

"Why do you look uncomfortable in your own house? Sit."

Camryn sighed.

"I'm fine with standing. I truly didn't know Carrie would do something like that. I'm sorry. You can scold me."

He felt bad if Camryn did not scold him and would only feel better if Camryn told him off.

"Why should I? You already said that you were unaware of Carrie's intentions. I never thought she'd be so bold to make a move on Callum. Is she reckless or stupid?

"That's your full sister. It's not realistic to block her outside. Anyway, I've already consoled Callum. This issue is over. You don't have to beat yourself up. Just remember why you took time off your studies to come back.

"I discontinued Carrie's bank card. She must've come over in the morning to make a fuss about this but backed down when she knew Callum was here. What did she tell you to make you leave her outside and enter the house?

"Were you going to give her money?"

Carrie could no longer spend her money lavishly after her card was discontinued. Although Carrie had taken a lot of cash last time, it did not last long with her extravagant spending habits while the Joyners and Chandlers were around.

Since Trenton was back, she thought of asking him for money.

"I didn't have a lot of cash. Everything I have is here. I wanted to give it to Carrie, but... I know why I came back, Camryn. I won't give Carrie too much money. I'll persuade her to get a job too.

"On second thought, I don't want to give her money anymore. She should get a job. She can't stay like this forever."

They had already lost their parents' protection. They had to learn how to survive on their own.

For someone who was as unrepentant as Carrie, the family assets would be gone if they fell into Carrie's hands.

"Is Callum really not mad at me?" Trenton asked.

"He looked scary just now. He must've been furious."

Camryn said, "He wouldn't have talked to you if he was still angry. However, you can't let Carrie show up before him anymore. He said he'd kick her every time he saw her. Even I can't stop him when he's enraged."
