The situation at home was now fully under Camryn's control. Every transaction he made, he was certain that Camryn would be aware.

If Trenton suddenly transferred a large sum of money, Camryn would surely question him. While she might not reprimand him for sending it to Carrie, Camryn would surely be disappointed in him.

Besides, if he gave too much money to Carrie, she might spend it recklessly, refusing to grow up and find a job. Carrie would instead rely on him like a leech.

Trenton had taken a leave of absence to visit their parents in prison. He hoped to convince them to transfer all their assets to him so he could control their family finances and prevent Carrie from squandering the Newman's wealth.

With this in mind, he decided to give Carrie only a little over a thousand dollars in cash.

He quickly changed his clothes, tucked the money into his pocket, and exited his room. After just a few steps, he saw Camryn standing not far away, quietly watching him. Facing Camryn, Trenton felt a sudden jolt of nervousness.

Startled, he involuntarily covered his pocket, feeling as if he had been caught in the act.

"Morning, Camryn."

Trenton greeted Camryn with a smile as he walked toward her with his tail between his legs. Camryn warmly responded, "Morning, did you just come back from a morning jog?"

"Yup. Camryn, you should sleep more. Callum said you were tired, and you should rest more."

Camryn replied, "Yes, I wanted to sleep a little longer, but I couldn't fall back asleep, so I decided to get up. Have you showered yet? Let's go downstairs for breakfast. I can smell Callum making something delicious."

With that said, Camryn turned around and went downstairs.

Trenton hesitated for a moment before tagging along.

Both of them were still on the way downstairs when they heard Carrie's cries of pain, followed by Callum's angry shout, "Get out!"

Camryn and Trenton instinctively stopped and exchanged glances. Soon enough, they witnessed Carrie stumbling and fleeing from the kitchen.

Kitchen utensils continued to be hurled in her direction.

Bowls, plates, and even pans were in the air.

Some of them hit Carrie, while some hit the ground and shattered.

Carrie desperately tried to escape while shrieking.

Camryn and Trenton regained their composure and quickly walked down the stairs.

Trenton instinctively ran after Carrie, while Camryn went into the kitchen.

Callum had the intention to keep throwing objects, but when he saw Camryn, he came to a halt.

Camryn turned around to find a floor full of broken shards, then turned back to the sight of a pale-faced Callum with a violent expression. Concerned, she asked, "What's wrong, Callum? You looked like you were about to kill someone, what did she do?"

Was it possible that when she and Trenton were upstairs and the servants were away, Carrie sneaked in to seduce Callum?

She was cognizant that Paige once intended to marry Carrie into the York family. Among the nine York boys, the eldest trio was the most popular. While Zachary was already married, the remaining two were coveted by many daughters of prestigious families.

Carrie was vengeful toward Camryn and wanted to oppose her. She might even try to snatch her man.
