Carrie was stunned upon listening to her aunts. She said, "I did go back, but I couldn't enter. Camryn replaced all the servants.

"Moreover, she's raising four guard dogs now. They almost bit me when I tried to climb the gates. I ran away.

"I didn't notice anything different about Camryn though. She moves freely in the house, so it's hard to determine whether she's still blind or pretending. I asked her to let me in, but she said she couldn't open the door because of her blindness. I guess she hasn't recovered her vision yet."

Carrie added, "Aunt Evelyn spent ten years trying to treat Camryn's eyes, yet every attempt failed. Can Dr. Carden really heal her eyes?

"Her being the legendary doctor's disciple must have been an exaggeration. Even if a miracle healer does exist, he's still human. Many doctors weren't able to reverse Camryn's blindness. She probably won't be able to regain her sight for the rest of her life.

"So what if she's able to see again? She can't give birth to a child even after marrying Mr. Callum. My mom told me that Camryn is infertile.

"Wealthy families prioritize having heirs. Camryn's marriage will likely end in a divorce due to her infertility."

Amy and Brenda exchanged glances. Amy asked, "How does your mom know Camryn can't get pregnant?"

How could they be sure when Camryn had not even gotten married?

"I'm unsure either. My mom said so when I once ran to her crying after Camryn pissed me off. She didn't give further explanations, but I trusted her words. My mom gave birth to her. She would know best." Brenda said, “If she's ill and infertile, she'll be chased out of the York family sooner or later. Look at Serenity. She couldn't get pregnant even after being married for a year. Many people are speculating that she would be removed from the family."

"Serenity's not pregnant yet?"

Serenity was second on Carrie's list of enemies, after Camryn. She was curious about Serenity's latest situation.

"There's no news from the York family yet, so it's probably a no. However, Zachary planned a grand wedding for her half a month ago. It truly was the wedding of the century, envied by many.

The Joyners and Chandlers were bankrupt and kicked out of high society. Naturally, they could not attend the wedding and could only watch the convoy pass them by. They knew nothing about the details of the wedding.

Nevertheless, their families were not even on par with the Yorks before they went bankrupt. Even if they wanted to fish for information, their old acquaintances refused to share any tea or meet up. Since the York family made no announcement, Serenity was most likely not pregnant.

Carrie said angrily, "Aunt Brenda, Aunt Amy, my parents and I went to prison because of Serenity. If it weren't for her, our family and yours wouldn't have ended up in this state.

"I despise Serenity."

Amy and Brenda looked at each other. Then, Brenda said, "Carrie, now that you're out of prison, we're counting on you to take back everything that belongs to the Newman family. That way, our families will have the chance to rise again.

"We'll try our best to support you in going against Camryn, but heed my advice-don't offend Serenity. Since you couldn't beat her previously, it'll only be impossible for you now.

"Aside from the Yorks' support, she also has the Stones' and the Lewises' backing. Even the Bucham family, who usually keeps a low profile, is helping her. Each of those families is powerful and influential."
