"Dr. Carden is truly skilled. She was here before you both arrived but had to leave after less than ten minutes because she was very busy."

Lilian was Remy's fourth sister-in-law. Elisa and Remy were a couple, and since the Stones and Johnsons would become in-laws in the future, Lilian wanted to visit Alice after hearing about her giving birth. "She is indeed busy, as she mentioned she had other patients to attend to."

Callum was filled with gratitude toward Lilian. Although Lilian credited her success to the previous doctor who was treating Camryn, claiming that Camryn's eye condition was already half-treated and that she only needed to apply some medication for Camryn to fully regain her sight.

Callum remained deeply appreciative.

"Your wedding is around the corner, isn't it?"

"Yes, it's getting closer."

Callum had a joyful smile on his face whenever their upcoming wedding was brought up.

"When can Alice be discharged from the hospital?"

"She had a normal delivery, so she can be discharged in a couple of days."

Callum nodded in response.

He and Clive had little to no conversation topics, primarily because the Stone family and the York family were business rivals.

After Serenity was found by Audrey, both families considered Serenity's interests and ceased any intense conflicts. However, it was unlikely that the two major conglomerates would cooperate or interact like friends.

Occasionally, they still launched moves against each other, but they dared not go too far for fear that Serenity would find out. They also did not want to put Serenity in a tough spot.

Soon, the two men found themselves without much to talk about, so they just exchanged glances, and the conversation dwindled.

Finally, Clive asked Callum, "Would you like to watch TV? I can turn it on for you."

"There's no need. We'll be returning to the manor later.”

"Alright."

The conversation died down once again.

Fortunately for them, Camryn only took a short while.

After the baby was asleep, Camryn laid him beside Alice. By lying beside his mother, the little one could sleep longer.

As Callum saw his fiancée exiting, he got up to fetch her.

Camryn said, "Alice needs some rest and the baby's asleep. Let's visit Alice some other day."

After all, Alice had just completed her delivery very recently, so she deserved a much-needed rest.

Callum nodded in agreement. He held Camryn's hand and bade Clive farewell.

Clive accompanied them all the way to the elevator, before turning back.

Alice and her son were sound asleep.

Clive sat in front of the bed, watching over them with a gentle gaze. He could not help but draw closer to his wife and son, kissing his beloved wife's forehead and his son's little face.

The baby's little arms twitched a little as Clive touched his face, prompting Clive to gently pat the baby. The baby then went back to sleeping peacefully.

The more he looked at his son, the more love he held for him. Clive decided to pick his son up and let him sleep in his arms.

He was not very good at holding a baby, and that was precisely the reason he should do it more often as a practice to improve himself.

This little one had put his beloved wife through nearly ten months of torment. There was a point where he contemplated aborting the baby, and it even caused a rift between the couple to the extent that Zachary and Serenity had to step in and mediate.

As he looked at his son's adorable appearance, Clive's heart softened even more.

Now that he had a loving wife and a lovely son, his life was complete.
