"I'm quite interested in Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette's story."

Serenity whispered, "Zachary would sometimes tell me a small part of it. Although he didn't go into the details, it always made me curious."

Jane smiled and said, "I'm only familiar with the latter part of my parents' story. I'm not clear about their past. Whenever I asked my dad about it, he wouldn't say anything. My mom would smile and say she didn't want to talk about it as it was a thing of the past.

"No matter what happened to them in the past, it's great that they have a good relationship now."

Jane knew her mother was unwilling to recall past events as her period of disappearance had been her mother's most painful days. Her mother had gone crazy for over twenty years because of that.

Although her biological father seemed cold, he had been holding himself back.
