She got out of her car but did not go into the house immediately. Instead, she circled Celine's car.

"You're back, Ms. Caroline."

The butler walked over and greeted her politely. When she saw her walking around Celine's car, she asked puzzledly, "Why are you circling Ms. Celine's car?" Caroline patted the front of Celine's car. She said, "Celine's car is way better than mine."

Caroline made a sad expression and patted the hood of Celine's car again. The car's anti-theft alarm kept ringing.

"Celine always drives new luxury cars. Although mine's a luxury car too, it's an undesirable car that my brother didn't want anymore."

Her mom had never bought a new car for her.

"What's happening, Elaine? My car's anti-theft alarm keeps ringing. Who hit my car?"

Celine heard the alarm and walked out.

"Did you hit my car, Caroline? Do you know how to drive properly?"

Celine questioned Caroline before the butler could answer her.

Caroline said, "My car's parked there. It's more than ten yards away from your car. No matter how bad I am at driving, I can't possibly have bumped into your car."

"Why are you standing beside my car then? Are you trying to steal it?"

"Nothing. I was just checking whether your tires are sturdy."

As Caroline spoke, she kicked a tire several times, causing the alarm to ring again.

"Can you compensate me if you damage my car, Caroline?"

"I can't. I don't have as much allowance as you do. Dad, Mom, our brothers, and sisters-in-law love you and give you money. I'm not as rich as you, okay?" After speaking, Caroline ran into the house in aggrieve.
