Zachary sighed and said, "Won't you do your best in rehab and recover as soon as possible, for my sister-in-law's sake?"

Duncan said, "I'll go to her new restaurant when it opens."

He could not walk, but that would not stop him from sending her a floral basket to wish her business success.

"Liberty will definitely treat you for dinner."

Duncan sighed, "But Liberty doesn't love me, she still sees me as a friend. She took care of me in the hospital because she felt indebted to me. She tried to repay the debt by helping me. Other than that, my mother also paid her a daily salary of ten thousand dollars."

"Mrs. Lewis paid Liberty a daily salary of ten thousand dollars, but she didn't take a penny. She only said that to give herself a reason to argue with you."

Duncan was not surprised. He said, "She does not want to owe me a favor. She took this opportunity to repay me. If she took the money, she would feel like she was always indebted to me. I already knew she would not take it. She insisted on presenting herself as someone who works for money."

"Zachary, how about you accompany me to visit Liberty's new restaurant?"

Zachary had nothing to do at the moment, so he consented to his friend's request.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis agreed to let their youngest son go out. They did not know that Duncan was going to Liberty's new store.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Duncan sighed. "I don't even know when I will be able to drive again. I miss the thrill of speeding."

He patted his legs that he could not use and said, "These two useless legs of mine."

"Duncan."

While driving, Zachary told his friend, "Those are not useless legs, you can still recover. You should only start worrying when you can't feel your legs."

Duncan was silent.

He tried to look strong in front of his friend.

In reality, though, he was actually very fragile on the inside. He was afraid he would not be able to recover, and that he could not stand up again. He worried he would have to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

"Stop by the florist. I want to buy Liberty a bouquet."

"Sure."

Back to the city center, Zachary drove his friend to Spring Blossoms.

As expected, he saw his cousin helping out happily at the florist.

"What brings you here, Zack?"

Callum saw Zachary's car stopped in front of the shop. Callum went and greeted him. He still had a pot in his hands as moments ago he was still watering the flowers.

Camryn was sitting behind the cashier counter. When she heard Callum's call, she stood up and walked out.

"Honey, just stay seated. I'll go say hi to Zack."

As Callum noticed she walked out, he rushed to Camryn's side to hold her steady. He was afraid she would fall down.

Camryn grumbled softly, "Who said I am your 'honey'? We are not married yet."

They only got engaged.

Callum said shamelessly, "We are already engaged. Marriage is only a matter of time. You'll officially be my wife sooner or later. I'm just calling you that so you can get used to it when we inevitably get married."

Camryn was speechless.

It was Callum's mouth. Camryn could not stop him from saying whatever he wanted.

After they got engaged, he called her with endearing terms every day. When nobody else was around, Camryn would just let him do as he pleased. However, she would feel embarrassed when someone else was around.

"Zachary, are you here to buy Serenity flowers?"

Camryn only heard a slow and steady footstep and did not hear Serenity's voice, so she assumed that only Zachary came.

Zachary softly said, "Serenity is not home yet. If I were to buy her flowers, they would already be wilted by the time she came back. It is Duncan who wants to buy Liberty flowers."
