The moment Stella saw the message, she knew it had Ursula's fingerprints all over it.

What puzzled Stella was where Ursula was getting the energy to flaunt things in her face, especially now that she was practically on her deathbed.

But then again, Stella thought it was a blessing in disguise that Ursula was battling not one but three life-threatening conditions. Otherwise, she would have had to step in and handle things herself.

Little did Stella know, Ursula can only find comfort now by harassing her. Waking up to a pillow covered in clumps of hair had brought Ursula to the brink of despair.

Stella replied, feeling speechless, "Nothing's set in stone, right?"

Was Yorick still leading Ursula on?

Ursula shot back, "Whether it's certain or not, Rick's got nothing to do with you anymore."

Oh, the nerve.

Stella typed, "Wouldn't you be scared if I showed this message to Yorick?"

Ursula replied, "Go ahead!"

After all, it wasn't her number. It would then be a matter of who Yorick believed more - her or Stella.

Stella then texted, "How about a bet of a hundred thousand bucks that you won't move into Wave Residence?"

If Ursula loved to show off so much, Stella was ready to play along.

What was the fun in bragging if there was no stake involved?

Ursula's breath hitched upon reading Stella's message, a glint of malice in her eyes.

"A hundred thousand, you dare to say it out loud?"

Stella responded, "Can't handle the bet?"

Since when did pride matter over cold, hard cash?

Ursula, gazing at Stella's arrogant reply, clenched her teeth and typed, "Fine, you're on!"

It was just a hundred thousand dollars. She believed Rick wouldn't let her down. If Stella lost, that would be a hundred thousand in her pocket.

That despicable man had been threatening her, and considering her recent hospital stays, the Larkins also believe they won't spend much money on her side. So she was running low on funds to deal with him. Winning a hundred thousand from Stella would be perfect.

Recalling how Stella's studio made over seven hundred thousand last year, Ursula figured demanding a hundred thousand wasn't too much to ask.

With that in mind, Ursula texted Stella, "Remember, you agreed to this bet. A hundred thousand dollars was your idea."

Stella answered, "Sure, you're on. Just don't end up playing innocent."

The mention of "playing innocent" hit a nerve with Ursula.

Stella went on, "Don't say I bully you or whatnot, claiming you don't have a hundred thousand. If you dare utter those disgusting lines, watch your mouth or I'll shut it for you."

Ursula was so infuriated by Stella's message that she nearly fainted. Fuming, she deleted the messages and handed the phone back to the nurse.

Stella, receiving no reply from Ursula, knew she had effectively shut her up. She always preferred to put the ugly truth out there first. Seeing Ursula with that smug, fake innocent look always made Stella want to tear her apart.

...

When Stella finally arrived at the studio, an hour had passed.

Upon seeing her, Jeremy stood up, "Star, you're finally here. Been waiting for a while now."

His tone carried a hint of a familiarity that bordered on presumptuous. To the unbeknownst, there was seemingly some deep bond between him and Stella.

Especially when Jeremy tried to cozy up to her, Stella instinctively dodged.

Seemed like he hadn't learned his lesson from Ronald yet.

Stella cut to the chase, "Mr. Patel, let's keep this professional, shall we?"

No need for that close comfort, it was unsettling!
