Chapter 72

In the presence of the Headmistress of the Orphanage, Louve started to discuss with Headmistress Lenny regarding the celebration and the reason behind it. Headmistress Lenny could not hide her own surprise with all the things Louve revealed to her.

"Wow! Now I truly understand why Alpha Connor has favored you. I was wondering this whole time how can someone convince me of this. Pardon me but no one truly had the guts and courage to really bend the will of our Alpha. Everyone feared him so I truly wondered how you could make him say yes to everything. Now I know!"

Headmistress Lenny kept gushing about the new revelation she found out. Elaine was chuckling at the sight of Headmistress gushing and surprised at the revelation of Louve.

"Well, I think it is time for everyone to know. But before announcing it to everyone, I wanted everyone to have fun and a great time. And since it is what Alpha Connor wanted to happen." Right before she could finish her explanation, Elaine shared her own thoughts about the decision of Alpha Connor.

"Maybe he was just too guilty in spending your birthday arguing with you and preparing your new room rather than truly celebrating your own birthday. Imagine he got too excited on that day and forgot that it was actually your birthday." There were hints of irritation in Elaine's voice.

"What do you mean? So, it was your birthday?" Headmistress Lenny expressed her own confusion for not grasping the entirety of Louve's explanation.

Louve blushed as she answered her, "Yes, it was my birthday."

"Oh, happy birthday!" Headmistress Lenny smiles at her.

"Thank you!" Louve smiled as she replied.

After their private discussion, Headmistress received the invitation and plans for the upcoming festivities and celebration of their Alpha and their future Luna.

Immediately Louve instructed Elaine to check on the request of Headmistress Lenny while Louve and Blake proceeded to the rooftop of the orphanage.

She wanted to see how the rooftop was renovated since the day of her instructions to turn it into a recreational area for painting and relaxing.

The sight on the rooftop was exquisite, with the vastness of the blue sky and an overview of the town. They saw different kinds of flowers and plants and a wood swing with a small fountain in the side.

The rooftop now is very beautiful like a secret garden. Louve was very happy as she approached some flowers and smelled their fragrance.

Louve was surprised by something unexpected.

"I-I just want to say... I think I am in love with you!" Blake openly confessed.

She turned her attention to the man standing next to her.

"What?!" Louve's surprised reaction

A surprised look was painted all over Louve's face. She could not believe that Blake has feelings for her.

"I think I am in love with you, Louve." Blake gathered all his courage in confessing his feelings for Louve.

Louve could see the sincerity and honesty of the words from Blake. His nervousness was apparent and she noticed how difficult it may have been for him to finally confess his feelings towards Louve. But Louve must be clear and honest with him as well.

After thinking about how to respond to such a shocking confession, Louve has decided to tell Blake her feelings as well.

"I am sorry... but I am in love with someone else. I think you know and you have an idea who I am referring to. There is someone else fated to be your one and true love. And that is not me." Louve tried her best not to hurt Blake with her words. An awkward laugh and smile were Blake's response to Louve's words.

"Alpha Connor is truly a lucky guy. Sometimes I think, life is too unfair for giving all the best things to Alpha Connor." Blake realized he is mumbling too much already.

Then he started to think of something else just to excuse himself.

"Ah, I think I just heard Scarlett call for me! I have to go check on her." Blake made some excuse and left Louve on her own.

They both know that Blake just wanted to leave and avoid getting humiliated further.

It was a plain rejection.

Louve felt bad at the sight of Blake running away from her. Blake totally lost his cool and ran as fast as he could.

Others wondered why Blake suddenly started running.

What they do not know is that he just got rejected by the first girl he fell in love with.

"I am so lame... So lame..." Blake told himself as he ran as fast as he could.

Then accidentally, he bumped into Elaine.

"Ooucch!" Exclaimed by Elaine after bumping with Blake accidentally.

"I am sorry! I did not mean to." Blake explained himself.

Unknowingly, there were tears already dripping from his eyes.

Elaine saw this and immediately she grabbed him...

To avoid someone else seeing his manly tears. She pulled him to the stock room which was the closest room that Elaine could hide Blake with.

In his curiosity, he wanted to ask why Elaine would help him and hide him in the stock room.

A cramped space they may be sharing at the moment but Elaine could not just leave Blake gete humiliated further.

"I may not know the reason behind it... but cry it already! It is already embarrassing to see those tears so just let it out already. No one will see you here. I will just guard the door from the outside to prevent someone from opening it." Elaine told Blake and left him inside. As soon as Elaine closed the door and stood behind it, manly cries could be heard.

He started crying out of rejection. Even though it is understandable that he fell in love with someone who has already fallen to someone else but he could not help himself to wonder, what could have he done to make it possible and be in his favor?

But there was nothing... No right answer because whatever he does, he knows that he could never have something which already belonged to someone else.

Only tears and pain were the things he could accept at the moment. It was indeed a first time experience that he will never forget. An experience of a failed attempt in love.

Elaine heaved a deep sigh in regards to the situation of Blake. There was only one thing that Elaine could think of because the last person that he saw Blake with is Louve. A realization crept in and thought to herself.

"Poor boy, you feel in love with someone who is madly in love with someone else!" Silently thought by Elaine.

In the room of Alpha Connor and Louve.

Alpha Connor has a habit of sleeping. He is always topless and only wears his boxers. While Louve has a habit of only wearing her nightdress.

Louve started to feel something warm and hard poking her a*s cheeks. Then another warm and firm arms wrapped around her. Her legs could feel another warm heavy tingly legs rubbing against hers.

"What the hell? What's going on?" Louve is trying to assess the situation that she is under at the moment.

Her spirit wolf Harou, heard the concern of Louve.

"It's just our mate. So do not overreact again!"

"What?! And you did not wake me up. How can I rely on you if you are not doing your part as someone to look out for my well-being?"

"It is so early for this Louve!" Complained by Harou, she continued, "First of all, why should I wake you up if there is no existing threat. Second, we were both asleep and I also need to rest myself from all your activities lately. Lastly, whether you like it or not but your body is not denying the fact that... you are actually enjoying this! So stop your overreacting!"

A sudden force of waking up and Louve pushed Alpha Connor off the bed again!

"Oouch! Why did you push me off the bed again?"

"Oh, you don't know? You slept on the bed while your entire body was over me. I thought I was about to be devoured by you!" Louve's remark to her mate.

"Last night, you were having nightmares and you were crying in your sleep. It was bothering me, so when I tried to comfort you, there you were suddenly hugging me. But Louve realized at that moment, she was still having her nightmares of losing Helena and when her brother left her alone. She thought she had a good sleep but it was all due to her mate's presence.

Alpha Connor noticed the sudden change in Louve's mood maybe because of the mention of her nightmares.

He thought of a way to cheer her up. He approached her and sat down on the edge of the bed.

He caressed her face and said softly, "Oh, why my Queen? Is there something wrong?"

Louve still bowed her head, "Nothing, I just remembered my bad dream. It was my foster mother's death and when my brother left me."

Alpha Connor slowly touched her hair and tapped her head, "Don't worry it's only a dream. I'm here for you." Alpha Connor embraced her tightly. "I promise you, I will never leave you and we will find your brother."

Slowly Alpha Connor moved and touched her face and slowly kissed her lips gently and hugged her again. He comforted her again as he did last night, he felt sorry for his mate for what she was feeling right now. Losing loved ones is indeed heart breaking. Alpha Connor wants his mate to be happy, each day of her life and he doesn't want to see her suffering about her past. He does love her and he will do everything to make her happy.
