He looked at me for a while before saying, "But you are hungry and I want you to eat before you die of hunger. I just wanted to feed you and I couldn't even do that."

He looked at the floor before saying "Ohhh, I'm sorry for that, I will call the chef to cook you something very fast."

She smiled, "No, it's okay you don't have to do that I don't want you to be all gloomy why don't you make me a sandwich and heat up some fried chicken for me." She asked Connor and that's what he did. It feels good to boss him around. Connor and Louve ate their food while Connor continued to look at her every few seconds. "Why are you stealing glances at me?" She asked him.

"You are the best thing that's ever happened to me, thank you for existing" Connor says as he blushes.

She giggles as she points at his face and informs him that he is blushing which he quickly denies resulting in us going back and forth on whether he was blushing or not.

All of sudden he looked into her eyes and said, "I like seeing you happy especially if you are happy because of me, now that you giggled I promise to make you laugh and keep you looking radiant more often."

"I... I should go to bed; I'm tired, good night." She said while trying to hide my blushing face.

Louve to her room and threw herself to the bed. She tried to stop smiling and replaying his words.

"He can be so swoon worthy sometimes. I don't think I can be mad for long. I'm sorry but mate is just so sweet and cute and sexy and his voice is so deep and her looks so delicious I could just -" Harou said in her mind. "Shut up! Stop making me feel such things and sending me such mental pictures." Louve said to her wolf.

"I can't make you feel anything, so don't blame me because you want to jump him. At least I'm honest about wanting to ride that handsome piece of hunk licious goodness." Harou said.

"I don't want to jump him! Stop being such a horny mutt!" Louve answered her wolf.

"Can I join you to bed now babe?" Connor stops and smells the air before awkwardly saying hi to her.

"Why does he have to be shirtless?" Louve asked her wolf.

Connor just stands there as his eyes were as black as midnight, she found herself walking over to him.

"I should go." He said.

"Why don't you join me in bed?" She asked him as she removed her gown revealing her short see through black nightdress.

She could feel his eyes scanning her body as he clenched his fists and gulped loudly.

"W-what are you doing?" He asked.

"If you only knew half the things I want to do to you." She said as she ran her hands all over his chest and kissed his neck.

They slowly lay down on the bed while kissing each other, as they lay down, the kiss became deeper and more intimate. She slowly hugs his shoulder as his kisses went down to her neck and to the top of her b****t.

"Louve this is not you, what's going on?" He said as he pulled on his hair.

The burning pain hit her all at once and she screamed in agony as Connor ran out of her room. She can't believe that he left her in pain alone. Heat is really annoying. It usually takes place soon after mates meet each other but she was a little late because of the whole rejection situation.

The main purpose of heat is to encourage sexual intercourse and mating basically reproduction to preserve the race or whatever all she care about is that it's painful as hell, unless she cave in the do the deed.

Connor came back running to her room with a bucket of ice and knelt down near the bed, he picked her up and placed her in the bathtub and opened the cold water.

"It's okay babe, I turned down the air-con so it will be very cold in a while, I also brought some ice to put in the tub along with some portion I got from a witch to minimise the pain and I will stay with you all night so you won't feel a thing."

Connor stayed with her all night in the bathtub as he left every once in a while to get the bucket of ice that May placed in her bedroom door. They stayed in the cold bubble bath as she laid on his chest trying to cool down her body as he fought back his wolf for control all night.

He held her tight to ensure that her heat doesn't come back even though that made it hard to control his natural werewolf instinct which is to mate with her.

Every time she saw his eyes change color from blue to black and from black to gold, every time she saw him trying to not look below her face and every time she saw him clench his jaw and shut his eyes when she moved while on top of him. It was at every time that she was assured by his actions that he loved her...

Forgiving him won't be easy because what he did is very wrong but she made a decision to at least try to make their relationship work.

Louve feel so weird. She slowly remembered the events of the night before and blushed. She got out of the bathtub and fell asleep before getting dressed and waking Connor up.

Connor was fast asleep because he wouldn't wake up no matter how hard she shook him. So she poured water on his face but still he didn't wake up and so she bent down and with a heavy heart and tears in her eyes, she listened to his heartbeat. She let out a breath of air as she heard the soft beating of his heart as she realised that he looked pale. She quickly ran out of the room screaming for someone to call the pack doctor.

When the doctor came to her room and checked Connor's body, Louve walked left and right, back and forth and couldn't stay on one placed when she felt nervous about what happened.

"Luna, can you please stop pacing you giving me a headache." Doctor Andrew said as he finished giving Connor a check-up.

"What's wrong with him?" She asked Doctor Andrew with a shaky voice.

"What happened is that you guys are taking unusually long to complete the mating process, especially since you are Alpha's mate." He said.

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"The mate bond between the two of you is very strong because you are Alpha's mate and he being Alpha King is not helping. The longer you resist, the stronger it grows to pull you together and repair your broken bond." "What the hell does that have to do with him being unconscious?" She asked confusingly.

"The Alpha has become weak as a result of always having conflict with his wolf more, because of going against his instinct to mate along with some events in his past, followed by the fact that he had been weak when he gave you the binding portion that minimised your pain by causing him anguish and because of the night long control battle he has been overwhelmed, weakened and sickened by the cold temperature in the room along with the ice cold water which didn't affect you because of you were in heat but he was already weak resulting in his light coma."

"When can I expect him to wake up?" She asked as she harshly wiped her tears.

As Doctor Andrew answered her, "He will wake up in a few hours just to give him some time to regain his strength."

It took three hours for Connor to awake from the light coma and then he fell asleep but that is not the reason I'm sitting in this dark room and staring at him. Louve just smile and said, "Okay then I'll call Doctor Andrew to check -"

"No, don't leave, he is probably asleep, come stay with me we will call him tomorrow." Connor cut me off mid-sentence.

"I'll be right back. I promise I just need to get us some food to eat so you can take your vitamins besides we haven't eaten all day." She told him.

"Why didn't you eat? I told the chef to prepare food for you, at least three times a day. Why did he disobey my orders? I am going to strangle him, I swear."

"Calm down Connor, I wasn't hungry. I told them to return the food to the kitchen so don't punish anyone for my decisions, okay?" She said as she left the room to bring his food.
