Chapter 430: Trap

The receptionist gladly fulfilled the request. She certainly didn’t want to be berated for no reason.

After Luciana caused a scene, the hotel’s lobby manager was called over. Once he understood the situation, he agreed to Luciana’s request to review the surveillance footage.

Shortly after, the surveillance footage from that day was sent over. After watching it, Luciana’s expression turned dark.

The footage confirmed what the front desk receptionist had said. Luciana herself had booked the room and appeared with a wealthy demeanor, accompanied by her pampered companion. The resemblance was striking. However, Luciana couldn’t recall any of it.

Zoran said, “Ms. Lane, this young man must be a cultivator who used some kind of strange magic to deceive us.”

“Nonsense, can’t I see it for myself? Do I need you to tell me?” Luciana retorted, glaring at Zoran.

If she had simply lost consciousness, it wouldn’t necessarily mean anything. It could be that Emrys had used some kind of sedative to abduct Luciana to the hotel.

But the situation was different. Even though Luciana had clearly lost consciousness, her actions were no different from those of a normal person, which was quite telling.

Emrys, a friar, possessed a certain method of manipulating people. Before, when Luciana heard Zoran’s bizarre stories, she didn’t believe them. However, as these strange phenomena started happening to her, she had no choice but to believe.

Luciana’s face darkened. After a moment of deep thought, something seemed to occur to her. She asked, “Did you come to this hotel to secretly film something, only to fall into that young man’s trap?”

“It was my mentor who gave me the information…” Zoran slapped his forehead and immediately dialed Dexter’s number, only to find out that Dexter had already turned off his phone.

With clenched teeth, Luciana exclaimed, “Dexter, it seems you really want to die!”

She understood what had happened. It was clear that Dexter was working with Emrys, and together they had completely deceived her.

“Come with me to take down that damn scoundrel!” Filled with rage, Luciana stormed out of the hotel, heading straight for Dexter’s residence.

Zoran also felt betrayed. He never expected his mentor to deceive him. Immediately, Zoran summoned the men stationed outside the hotel. They were no longer paparazzi, but rather Luciana’s henchmen.

The henchmen were confused, but they knew their duty was to follow orders. Luciana’s anger was palpable.

As they arrived at Dexter’s house, Luciana resorted to drastic measures. She threw a stone through the top window to get his attention.

Dexter quickly realized that his deception had been discovered. Luciana was determined to bring him down, and she had the means to do it.

“I underestimated her,” Dexter muttered, his eyes flashing with anger. “Desperate times call for desperate measures!”

Luciana’s determination was unshakable. She would stop at nothing to expose Dexter and restore her honor.
