Sienna was stunned , not sure what Miranda meant .

“ Grandma , ” Sienna swallowed hard and asked uncertainly , “ What kind of ‘ like’do you mean ? ” 

“ Oh .

Sienna ” Miranda set down her soup bowl with a smile .

“What other kind of like’is there ! Of course , it’s the kind between a man and a woman .

Then she added , “I mean , did you like him the way you used to like Josiah ? ” 

Sienna was a bit confused , “ Grandma , why do you ask ? ” She thought Miranda might misunderstand something because Cedric brought her home .

She laughed and shook her head . 

“ There’s nothing between us .

We just bumped into each other on the way , and he kindly offered to give me a lift , that’s all ”

“ Grandma , ” Sienna felt overwhelmed .

“ Good girl ” Miranda chuckled and turned to go upstairs . 

Meanwhile , Josiah set down the tray without looking at Sienna .

“ Drink up .”

The hot soup burned as it went down her throat , making her chest hurt .

Her expression became more pained . 

“ Are you an idiot ?” Josiah said with a frown , “ Why did you swallow something so hot ? ” 

Sienna put her hand over her mouth , unable to speak .

She didn’t know it was so hot .

Besides , the soup was made with rare ingredients .

Having lived through hard times for years , she had developed a habit of not wasting anything

Josiah held back a laugh , “ Wait here ! ”

“ I’ll spray inside your mouth once it doesn’t hurt as much .

Sienna blinked , feeling a bit surreal that Josiah was so nice to her . 

“ Feeling any beter ? Does it still hurt ? ” He asked , pointing at the trash can nearby , “If it doesn’t hurt too much now , spit it out .

The ice is just temporary relief .

We need to use the spray .” 

Sienna nodded in a daze , turned to the side , and spat out the ice . 

“ Come on , open your mouth , ” Josiah said , holding up the spray and lifting his chin towards her . 

“ Ouch ,” Sienna winced , her voice shaky from the pain .

“ I’ll do it myself ” 

“ You can’t see where to spray .

Be good , open your mouth .

” 

Josiah wouldn’t give it to her , leaving Sienna with no choice but to tilt her head back and open her mouth , revealing her neat teeth and her soft tongue .
