But suddenly , lights came on all around , causing both of them to shut their eyes tight 

“ The power’s back on ! ” Sienna exclaimed joyfully , opening her eyes first .

But then she froze , Josiah’s handsome face was right there , just inches away , his thin lips almost touching hers 

She thought Josiah was going to kiss her .

Sienna was covered in a cold sweat .

But soon she realized that it was impossible because Josiah hated her .

It must have been because it was so dark before , and he couldn’t see 

“ U ” Sienna whispered softly to remind him , “ The power’s back on ” 

“ Oh , ” Josiah’s face stayed emotionless , but inside , he was a whirlwind of emotions .

He had almost kissed Sienna .

He didn’t know why he would find her attractive and even wanted to kiss her . 

Josial pretended to be calm , released Sienna , and stood up , speaking in a lazy , indifferent tone , “ Since everything’s fine .

I’ll be going ” 

“Okay , sure ,” Sienna stood up and walked with him to the door .

“ Be careful on your way ” 

“ Alright , ” Josiah turned and walked away without looking back .

When he reached downstairs , he quickly looked back at Sienna’s lil window .

His long eyelashes hid his thoughts 

The next day .

Josiah went to visit his brother , Howard .

He had received a call from the doctor urging him to come , and he was the only one who made it this time , as Yvette was out of town for a shoot . 

“ Mr.

Flynn , The doctor responsible for Howard began , indicating there was something important to discuss . 

“ What’s going on ? Just tell me straight , Josiah furrowed his brow , worried that something might be wrong with Howard . 

“ Mr.

Flynn , The doctor smiled reassuringly , “ Don’t worry , it’s not bad news .

There is a new type of medication abroad specifically for your brother’s condition . 

“ Oh ? ” Josiah’s eyes lit up with interest .

“ Tell me more about it , 

“ Here’s the situation .

” The drug was independently developed by a hospital abroad and had already been used in clinical practice .

There were even successful instances of people waking from commas that had lasted for years . 

The doctor continued , “ Even though Howard has been in a coma for many years , his physical functions are well – maintained .

I believe we could try this medication , as there is a chance of success . 

The thing was , this medication wasn’t available worldwide , nor was it mass – produced .

So , buying it required not only a large amount of money but also finding the right channels . 

But the Flynn family was different .

While a small – town doctor like him couldn’t find a way , it didn’t mean the Flynn family couldn’t

Flynn , do you think you could find a way to get this medication ? ” 

Josiah nodded .

“ Alright , I’ll find a way .

No matter how difficult it was to get the medication , he would try everything to get it for Howard .

He wanted to wake Howard up and help him get off that bed he’d been lying on for years . 

He thought for a moment and instructed the doctor , “ Please , don’t mention this to Grandma and Yvette just yet .

The doctor understood perfectly what he meant .

Even though there had been cases where the medicing worked , it wasn’t a sure thing .

Over the years , they’d faced disappointment tine and again . 

Before Howard woke up , Josiah wanted to handle this pressure on his own .

If Howard woke up, then everyone would be happy .

If Howard still didn’t wake up , then the disappointment and sorrow would be his to bear alone . 

After the surgery .

Miranda’s recovery was going well .

In the past few days , she was preparing to leave the hospital .

The next step was to focus on recuperation .

With the Flynn family’s resources , the environment at home was naturally better than any rehab center . 

On the day of her discharge , Sienna was there , 

“ Sienna , ” Miranda joyfully held her hand .

“ You’re always so good , being the first to arrive 

Just then , Josiah pushed open the door and saw Sienna .

His eyes lit up involuntarily , and he spoke with a touch of unplanned joy , raising an eyebrow , “ Grandma , are you saying any effort in staying the past few nights counted for nothing !”

“ Stop fishing for compliments ,” Miranda patted Sienna’s hand .

“ Our Sienna is so obedient and considerate , while you’re just standing here like a log .

How can it be the same ? ” 

“ Hmph , ” Josiah chuckled , “ Fine , your Sienna is the best .

” 

“ Oh right , ” Miranda pulled Sienna closer and spoke seriously , “ Sienna , for the next few days , stay at our house with me .

Her tone was purely declarative , almost like an order , leaving no room for discussion 

Sienna was taken aback and hesitated “ Grandma , it doesn’t seem appropriate , does it ? Considering her current relationship with Josiah , moving into the Flynn residence didn’t seem proper . 

“ What’s inappropriate about it ? ” Miranda gave her a playful glare .

“ Just because you and Josiah couldn’t become a couple , does it mean you .

shouldn’t call me Grandma anymore ? ” 

“ Of course not , Sienna immediately shook her head .

I just got out of the hospital .

Those were his very own words to her once , so he couldn’t even argue . 

That night , Sienna stayed over at the Flynn residence .

After dinner , Miranda asked Josiah to stay for a chat . 

“ Grandma , do you need something ? ” 

“ Yes ” Miranda took a sip of her coffee .

“ Do you know why I wanted Sienna to stay with us ? ” 

Josiah raised an eyebrow .

“ Didn’t you say you wanted her to keep you company ? ” 

“ You ” Miranda paused , chuckled helplessly , and shook her head .

With a sigh , she said .

“ Never mind .

I’ve come to terms with it .

You really just don’t like Sienna , and I’ve accepted that 

Josiah was surprised .

“ What did I do ? ” He didn’t know why it would always come back to him not liking Sienna . 

Miranda glared at him .

“ Even if you’re not husband and wife , you grew up together and share a bond .

As her brother , you can’t even remember her birthday ! If Howard were here , he would definitely remember . 

Josiah was surprised that Sienna’s birthday was coming up soon . 

Miranda continued , “ I’m planning to throw her a proper birthday party , and then I’ll find her a good match
