“ Oh really ? ” On the couch sat a middle – aged man , looking like he was just over forty .

His hair was combed back , thinning in the middle revealing his scalp , showing signs of early baldness , with plenty of facial lines , and his belly was protruding . 

The middle – aged man exhibited those greasy characteristics , Despite wearing a suit and being in a high position , he still had a commanding presence .

Ryan lifted his gaze , assessing Sienna .

“ You’re Sienna ? ”

Henry gave Sienna a look , and she understood immediately , stepping forward and standing dignitedly .

Jones , I’m Sienna , Sienna Shaw .

Jones reflected on her name , smiling .

She tilted her head back and drank it all in one go .

She drank tou fast and choked a bit 

Sienna gave an embarrassed smile , Tm not a strong drinker .

“ It’s okay ,” Ryan chuckled , slightly raising his eyebrows .

“ Since you’re not a strong drinker , don’t drink like that from now on .

You don’t need to be so formal with me , understand ? ” 

“ Got it , ” Sienna nodded with a smile .

Ryan raised his glass and drank it all in one go .

See , I joined you .

From now on , we don’t need to

” Sienna nodded with a smile , knowing when to stop .

Sienna turned to leave but then thought for a moment and turned back to look at Ryan .

Jones , will you be back tomorrow ?” 

Ryan looked a bit surprised and asked her , “ Would you like me to come ? ” 

“ Of course ,” Sienna nodded , smiling as she said , “ So , tomorrow , I’ll be waiting for you , After saying that , she turned and walked away 

Ryan paused for a moment , then chuckled in surprise , Interesting .

Very interesting ” 

Outside the private room , Henry looked at Sienna with a complicated expression .

Sienna , have you thought this through ? ” 

From her earlier actions , it seemed she was offering Ryan an olive branch .

Once she got involved with someone like him , it was hard to back out .

Sienna neither agreed nor disagreed .

“ Henry , what do you think of Ryan ” 

“ What do I think ? ” Henry sighed and said honestly , “ For you , he’s a bit too old.

More than just a bit .

Ryan was old enough to be her father .

She had eyes of her own .

But then again , anyone who took this path usually faced some difficulties .

When Sienna first came to him , he could tell she was struggling and needed money .

Henry thought for a moment , even comparing Ryan to Josiah

It’s a good thing .

” That was certainly an advantage .

Even though it was a business arrangement , not having a wife in the mix cut down on complications , never mind the moral aspect .

However , Henry still felt uneasy and a bit hesitant , “ Sienna , are you sure you don’t want to reconsider ? Maybe wait a little longer ? Maybe Josiah might come back for her .

Or maybe she could meet someone similar to Josiah 

“ No ,” Sienna shook her head .

“ Ryan is pretty good .

I’m fortunate to be with him , ” She was just a dancer , struggling at the bottom of society , barely making a living 

She couldn’t afford the luxury of choosing a backer .

Besides , she didn’t have any time left .

She needed 160 thousand dollars for Joyce’s surgery .

Sienna went to visit Miranda .

She stayed with her in the sun , pushed her back indoors , and then joined her for afternoon tea .
