~ Josiah Josiah sat on the pier, with his legs hanging over the edge. Every now and then he would kick water up absently. His thoughts remained on the discussion he had with Alpha Dermet yesterday. Eventually, the damn man had distracted him enough to get his full story from him. Instead of demanding he return to his pack for them to finish him off, Dermet had offered him a place within his Clan. Josiah couldn't understand it, why would a Clan of felines want a wolf among them? Weren't they supposed to be mortal enemies or something? At the very least, rivals? He lowered his head and shook it, before once more looking out at the ocean.

He had to return to the Clan den shortly with his answer, but he still didn't have a clue what that answer was going to be. 'Man, my side hurts', Josiah thought as he finally pushed himself to his feet. Turning away from the view, he began walking down the beach, still lost in his thoughts.

Josiah had his head down, staring unseeing at the sand, and not really paying attention. His side and leg were throbbing, but he didn't care. He had to figure out what his next move was and whether or not he could actually trust the cats. 'Guess I really should have been paying attention.' Josiah thought as one moment he was walking along the beach and the next he was upon the ground with his arms and legs tangled up with someone else's.

~ Clara Clara was tired after practicing with Charlie all night and most of the day. It was tiresome learning to be a witch and she was still quite shocked that's what she seemed to be. Clara had thought a stroll on the beach would be more relaxing than staying at home, listening to her father bitching over money matters again. And it was, until she found herself pinned to the sand by a very heavy, rude, male. "Hey get off me, you big oaf!"

Clara called out as she struggled under the bastard's weight. She was having a difficult time breathing, which was only growing worse the longer he stayed atop of her. She was also in pain, though she hoped to hell nothing was broken or that she had internal bleeding.

"I am not a big oaf, you clumsy little girl!"

The oaf growled out above her. He didn't even seem to be attempting to get off her. Why wasn't he trying to get off her? Was he trying to kill her?

"Get off me dammit!"

With the last little bit of energy she had left, Clara sent a small electrical current into the idiot still lying on her. "Ouch! What the hell was that?"

Yes, it worked! He was finally scrambling off of her. The instant the weight was gone, she was rolling onto her side, coughing and sputtering, trying to catch her breath. A hand was thrust down before her face and she glared at it. Ignoring it, Clara struggled to her feet and began dusting off her clothes. She then turned to glare up at the big oaf. Concerned brown eyes framed by tan bangs stared down at her.

"Are you ok?"

Clara had to shake herself to concentrate on his words. Why did the stupid oaf have to be so handsome? "What?"

'Oh hell, he's smiling now. That is so not good for my mental state.' She thought as she tried to pull her attention away from his stunning looks.

"Are you ok? Did I crush you when we fell?"

~Josiah Josiah spoke slowly, punctuating every word. His smile grew when anger filled her grey eyes. Though he really was concerned whether or not he hurt her, she was so much smaller than himself, he couldn't help but needle her. She was just so cute being angry. His amusement was obviously having an adverse effect on her as well.

Without answering his questions or saying anything else, she turned on a heel and stalked off in a huff.

"Aww, c'mon. I really am concerned whether you were injured or not."

Josiah called out to her retreating back. His laughter rang out clear and loud when she flipped him the bird over her shoulder without missing a beat. Smiling, he turned away and headed back to the Casmás den. He had finally made his decision.
