When a mother had cubs, no matter what they were like or behaved like, they were still part of her b***d. The bond was too strong and if it was broken it could drive any one of them mad.

Or so Nebraska thought.

She was breathing heavily. Her hands were opening and closing. She could hear her heart pounding in her ears. She could allow Rudoc to destroy her own body, to rape it as many times as he wanted, but to have him attack one of her children was something she couldn’t stand.

She heard him approaching, transforming again and rearranging his organs as he licked the b***d from his fingers, as if savouring the delicacy he had enjoyed.

-Don’t worry my queen, I’ll give you more children when we get there. One you’ve lost won’t make a difference.

With her eyes changing colour, Nebraska raised her head, so that thick drops of b***d splattered on her face. Rudoc’s body lay before her, staring down at her from above, but the triumphant smile on his face had been petrified. She panted in alarm. A fist protruded from his chest, clutching his beating heart.

-Apparently the triumph didn’t last long,” Liam’s voice echoed from behind the wolf’s back.

He withdrew his own hand with the organ in it and Rudoc’s body fell forward with a hollow in his chest and his eyes losing all trace of life. Nebraska’s breath caught in her throat.

What the hell was going on? Liam’s laughter brought her back to earth.

-Relax, my queen, it will all be over soon,” the wolf looked at the wolf’s beating heart in his hands, “You f*****g a*****e, all I’ve been waiting for is this moment.

He kicked the body on the ground sending it ten feet away from them. Liam laughed at that and took the heart licking it. Then he opened his mouth and ate it in one bite. His lips and part of his neck were stained with the fresh b***d that came from it.

She m****d as she opened her eyes.

-This is glory,” he turned around and walked in a circle, “I feel it, I feel its power.

-Liam, what is this?” Nebraska’s voice trembled.

-This, my queen, is reality,” he knelt down in front of her, “Didn’t I tell you before, I will be by your side for the rest of your life. I’ve gone to great lengths to make it so,” he said.

She opened her eyes.

-I will be clearer, my beautiful, I was the one who wanted to marry you when you were younger but Rudoc found out and took you away from me,” he walked again kicking the remains of Catherine’s bone, “You should thank me, I flattened the ground for you to become queen, you would have seen the face of your uncle and your father at the time of your death. On the day of your marriage, that he didn’t mark you was just a relief for me, then I took advantage and manipulated Rudoc, I was the one who proposed him to lock you up. This way you would be separated from him and I could get you out at some point, but I never foresaw that he would keep the key so tightly- -You knew where everything was.

-You knew where I was all along, you destroyed my family,” she still couldn’t believe her ears. Knowing that she had the murderer of her family in front of her shook every part of her body.

-Yes my precious, my plan was simple, take you out, mark you and claim my place at your side, but then I found some very interesting documents. The ability to increase your power through your children, I never thought we could be so primitive as that, but Rudoc was so ambitious that he fell into my nets. He just had to wait for his offspring to grow up and devour them and he’d have his power, too,” she laughed, “He was so stupid, he thought he was going to conquer all the herds and he was just making it easier for me.

Nebraska swallowed hard, but didn’t miss a single detail of what he was saying.

-Everything was going great until your a*****e sons went to Hades for help. I tried to stop them that night they ran away and the incapable troops let them go. Even if Rodrigo wanted to hide from me what his brothers had told him, it didn’t help that I protected them.

He returned to her and lifted her chin, licking the b***d that ran down her face.

-Knowing that Hades had rescued you and was beginning to care for you only made me resort to changing my plans. Now that the pack had gotten bigger things couldn’t get any better, I would just let Rudoc kill Hades and go back to the plan to assassinate him.

-You were the one who poisoned him,” his voice came out flat. He wasn’t even impressed anymore.

-Indeed my beautiful,” he tried to k**s her lips but she turned her face away, “Hades is very cautious so I poisoned the rim of his glass, and he fell into the trap very quickly. I took advantage and took Catalina, since I couldn’t take the rest of the puppies, she would at least do her job as now and I took Rudoc out of the cell. In the first instance, he would take over the other pack and then I would take his place, but the plans have changed a little now that he’s gone ahead of me.

Nebraska narrowed her eyes. It had all been Liam’s plan to make her his.

-But Liam, I’m marked, I belong to Hades,” she challenged him with a grin.

He grabbed her face roughly.

-No my queen, now I can remove that mark for my own. Rudoc’s devouring of his daughter increased his power like no wolf has any idea and now I am the one who has it. My bite will be stronger than Hades’ and you will be mine. You will only suffer for the first few days, your body will have to endure all the change and acceptance of a new owner. Another she-wolf would die, but we are talking about you, you are strong, so you will bear it without any problem.

Those words only made the remaining colour in Nebraska’s face fade, but I had to keep getting details out of her, anything could work.

-How could you get Rudoc and Catalina out? Hades had them under heavy guard.

Liam stood up and turned his back to her.

-Easy my love. I’m…I’m an omega recessive, if you know what I mean.

The she-wolf was stunned.

Recessive omega, she couldn’t believe it. If she was a pure omega and it was strange to see it, being recessive was considered to be an extinct being. It had been a category that had been exterminated by the wolves themselves due to the ability to increase their strength by eating the flesh of alphas, to the point where it was a necessity for them to live. They were considered scum, the lowest of the pack, treachery in a wolf’s body. And the worst thing about them was that they were extremely difficult to detect, bringing their scent to resemble that of a standard wolf.

When he looked at him, Liam smiled.

-I don’t even have to explain it to you. Do you understand now why I can do anything I want? I’ll eat Hades’ flesh and get his outside, Rudoc’s is already inside me, and I’ll do the same to everyone on the Council so they know the pain of being hunted by your own mates,” his words came like venom from his lips, “Don’t worry, we’ll be together and even if I can’t give you pups given my omega naturals, having you is more than enough for me,” he let out a syonic laugh.

Liam stood up and Nebraska’s head fell forward taking it all in, so all the tragedy his people had been through was because of her, because of a lunatic who wanted her for himself. Another tear ran down her cheek. Anger, hatred, pain, all mixed inside her. The sight turned red, her world began to change and she let the madness once again take control of her.

Liam could see Nebraska’s body becoming covered in thick dark fur.

-She yelled at the wolf behind her but by the time it reacted its head was hanging sideways with its neck ripped open.

Liam was sure Nebraska couldn’t transform yet but it took him by surprise. Before him stood a wolf staring at him with crimson eyes where rage transpired from every pore of his body. He motioned to the other guard who dropped the dead cargo on him to attack the omega, ending up off to the side moaning, holding his throat and smearing b***d on the snow beneath him. She was still fast as before.

Liam stayed in place. He knew his queen, the ability she had to fight after the hard training she had undergone, and he was sure he could deal with her, even in her wildest state. So he had no choice, he would submit her to him, demand her submission and drag her with him to where his new pack would be.

Tearing at his clothes he transformed his body letting the heart b***d he had consumed earlier bind with his own beginning to feel the change in every muscle growing larger. He grunted at Nebraska shaking himself. He felt so full of life, so powerful.

Nebraska bared her bloody fangs. With no conscience to stop her, her only intention was to finish off the wolf that had ended the lives of her loved ones, or die trying.
