Captive Of The Alpha -
Chapter 100
Rodrigo did not feel comfortable with his family even though he knew the whole truth. He still felt he had betrayed everyone and to always put himself as the victim was not fair. It wasn’t even fair to himself. And that hurt him. It hurt him a lot.
And this day that was supposed to be happy for everyone was supposed to be a reminder to him that he didn’t belong in that family. Because he was just hurting.
-Brother…brother,” Alan shook his arm at his side, “It’s time to go for a run.
Rodrigo nodded. His mother had just married the alpha of the silver pack. The one person who had given him the confidence to tell him the truth. He couldn’t deny he was happy for her. She deserved it. His mother had suffered so much at the hands of his father and that this wolf had appeared in her life was the best thing for her and her brothers.
But he didn’t deserve it.
So when the run began and all the wolves followed the former alpha of the Saisen Silver pack, he moved on for a few miles but eventually stopped and let the others get away.
He needed to be alone. Alone without thinking about anything. In the middle of that forest. The only thing that kept him from disappearing completely was the thought that his mother would suffer greatly with the breaking of the bond. If it wasn’t for that and that it would create more pain for him, he would have already vanished from the face of the earth. After all, he didn’t think his siblings would miss him very much.
Because it was really hard for you to find out that your brother knew where your mother was from the beginning and hadn’t done something about it.
He sat with his head down. The moonlight was beautiful that night, but it barely filtered through the dense foliage of the pack forest. She liked it here. It was more welcoming than his old pack in every way.
If only he didn’t feel so lonely.
-What are you doing here, pup?
A voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked over his shoulder. A large black wolf appeared from the trees. Only his unusual silver orbs set him apart, as well as the alpha from any ordinary wolf.
-Leoxi,” he muttered, then looked away, “I’m not a puppy.
Leoxi didn’t stop and sat down next to him, nudging him a little with her snout.
-You’re right. You haven’t been a puppy for a few years now, but it’s fun to see your reaction when I call you that.
Rodrigo was about to retort but he remembered that he had no right to do that. Who was he to make a claim?
-What is he doing here? The herd is running.
-But you weren’t with them.
The wolf’s answer stunned him and he raised his head to look him straight in the eye.
-Until you finally looked at me,” Leoxi nuzzled her nose with his.
-Rodrigo recoiled at the wolf’s unusual show of affection and got up to run away.
-Rodrigo,” he heard Leoxi shout behind him, but he didn’t stop.
But the younger boy had already run off. He wasn’t used to that kind of attention, that kind of affection because he was aware that he felt something strange with the wolf.
There was some kind of connection that made his chest throb and it was wrong. Very wrong and he didn’t want to feel that. Why was the wolf following him like this, why was it falling behind him when he wanted to get away?
Rodrigo panicked and hurried faster but he knew it was useless. Leoxi’s paws were much longer and stronger than his, with good reason, Leoxi could almost double his size. And he was the pack commander.
Unless he was the alpha he would have no match.
Still, he didn’t stop, and kept running when
-Watch out,” he heard behind him, but it was too late. The void opened up in front of him. It was a steep ravine.
As if his desire to kill himself had been heard Rodrigo rushed down where there were many trees and branches that were sure to scratch him but to his surprise they did not. No sooner had he descended about five metres than the back of his neck was bitten and a furry body wrapped around him, avoiding impact with a tree trunk.
Rodrigo heard the wolf g***n in pain as it shielded him with its body but at least the fall didn’t go any lower.
The smaller wolf raised its head with its ears flat and whimpered in worry. Leoxi had hurt himself because of him. Again.
-Are you all right, puppy,” the wolf asked after releasing the back of his neck. His forelegs kept him clutched against his chest.
-You’re hurt,” Rodrigo felt his voice tremble.
-Leoxi began to move and bit the back of Rodrigo’s neck again and with strategic movements pulled him underneath him, between his paws.
The slope was extremely steep, but it was possible to climb it, and they had not descended that far.
-I’m going to go up,” he said without letting go of the skin on the back of his neck that he was biting carefully so as not to hurt him, “I’m going to push you and you move along with my body, you understand. One false step and we can both fall and the damage will be greater.
Rodrigo nodded and let Leoxi guide him and so little by little, and although it was not at all comfortable as he was pulled by his neck and his body was a little bent due to the one above him, they were soon at the top.
When Leoxi finally released him he ran his tongue over the skin a little bruised by his teeth. Rodrigo remained on his belly against the ground dumbfounded by the wolf’s reaction to him and the gentle way he treated him. So different from how he normally was in training or when he was on duty.
-Let’s get back to the pack,” he said, bringing his head close to his ear and Rodrigo shivered. His heart pounded without him being able to help it.
-Your back,” he said quickly to find another topic of conversation other than the thoughts that were currently running through his head.
-It’s fine,” Leoxi turned away from him and showed it to him. Because of the thick black fur he couldn’t see much but Rodrigo had smelled b***d. He was sure of it.
So he got up and before Leoxi could protest he buried his snout in the fur and found it. It wasn’t much but there were tiny sores in the fur.
-Hey puppy, I’m fine, you don’t have to…”.
But Rodrigo was already licking over the wounds to clean them. Leoxi couldn’t deny that he felt a shudder cross his entire body when the other wolf’s tongue made contact with him but he didn’t say anything so as not to make him uncomfortable.
By the time Rodrigo had finished he had had more than one thing to think about. He looked over his shoulder and smiled at him with his fangs showing.
-Thank you, puppy.
-I’m not a puppy,” Rodrigo had his head down.
Leoxi walked over to him and rubbed his head against the younger wolf’s head.
-You’d better be a puppy for the time being, or I won’t answer to me,” the teasing tone startled Rodrigo, who didn’t understand his words.
But since that day when the two of them shared only a few strange moments, they were closer than before. Until the day what Leoxi most wanted but was avoiding happened.
