Chapter 60 Lela’s Menstruation Terrifies Sylvester
Lela shook her head, "I'm not cold, Lela isn't afraid of the cold."
So, upon Lela's strong insistence, Sylvester slowly let go and placed her into the pool.
This was her second time standing in such a large pool since The Immortal Man.
That suffocating feeling, like tidal waves, surged in Lela's mind, as if it wanted to drown her.
Sylvester thought she had adapted, and said, "I'll swim a lap, you watch."
However, Lela grabbed Sylvester's hand, holding on tightly, "No, don't leave."
Don't leave her.
Suddenly, Lela felt a pain in her abdomen, and her face turned deathly pale.
She wasn't afraid of pain, but at this moment, she experienced immense agony.
Sylvester was scared, quickly lifting Lela out of the pool, "Little one, what's wrong? Don't scare me."
Lela held tightly onto Sylvester's hand and clenched her teeth, "Sylvester... it hurts."
Sylvester carried Lela and walked towards the edge of the pool, asking, "Where does it hurt? Tell me, hmm?"
At the same time, a strong sense of doubt flashed through his mind. Mutants aren't supposed to feel pain, so why is this happening?
Just as Sylvester carried Lela onto the shore, he caught a glimpse of a crimson hue in the pool.
His gaze followed downwards, only to see the crimson blood flowing down Lela's fair thighs, a horrifying sight.
In that moment, Sylvester felt his heart wrench, his eyebrows furrowing tightly, and his profound amber eyes filled with an extreme coldness.
He quickly reached for a nearby bathrobe to cover Lela, holding her tightly, and they returned to their room using the elevator.
A servant passing by the elevator was startled to see the tiny spots of crimson blood on the floor.
They rushed to find the source of the blood.
Inside the room, Sylvester held the soaked Lela in his arms, not even having the time to clean the bloodstains on her legs in the bathroom. He swiftly removed Lela's clothes and wrapped her in a clean towel. Lela's face twisted in pain, but she couldn't stop him in time. By the time she reacted, she was already swaddled like a baby in the soft towel, lying on the bed.
Seeing Lela's face pale with pain, Sylvester immediately became anxious, his handsome face filled with worry. "Good girl, I'll go call the doctor."
Lela is a Mutant, and going to the hospital might raise suspicions about her identity. The best way is to have the doctor come here.
Just as he turned around to get his phone and call the doctor, Lela grabbed his hand.
"Sylvester... no need... it's... it's that time." Lela said, her face still pale.
Sylvester looked up, his face filled with concern, as Lela grabbed his wrist and he heard her struggling voice. He thought she was in pain and couldn't bear it, so he quickly crouched down and leaned in closer to her, whispering in her ear, "Darling, where else does it hurt? Tell me."
Looking at Sylvester, who was anxiously sweating, Lela smiled reluctantly despite the pain. She reached out and wiped Sylvester's forehead, weakly saying, "Sylvester, I'm fine, it's... my period."
Sylvester had no idea what "period" meant and furrowed his brows. "What? What period? Darling, do you miss your mother?"
...
Lela suddenly felt discomfort in her expression. Shaking her head, she finally bit her lip and endured the overwhelming pain, saying, "It's my menstrual cycle."
She had already checked her own pulse and found nothing wrong.
Considering she hadn't had her period until she turned eighteen, there was only one possibility: she had just experienced her first menstruation.
Upon hearing Lela mention the phrase "menstrual cycle," Sylvester wore a bewildered expression. "Menstrual cycle?"
