Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld
Chapter 56 The Artificial Beach Sylvester Created for Lela

In the first month, Sylvester caught Lela trying to speak. Besides Lela sometimes being playful and uncooperative, nothing significant happened. There are not many other details of significant importance other than this. In the middle of the second month, Sylvester caught Lela attempting to swim.

That day, the weather was clear and the sun was shining brightly.

Sylvester was already accustomed to his morning training sessions, waking up at five o'clock to exercise.

The bodyguards at Dragon Manor were carefully selected from ancient warrior families through special channels. They underwent specialized training at the Ironfist Holding Center before being assigned to Sylvester. After two hours at the shooting range, Sylvester took off his goggles, and Mildred stood nearby, glancing at the time.

"Sir, you assembled the firearms even faster this time."

Soon, another bodyguard rushed over from the opposite side. "Sir, except for the last shot, all the others hit the bullseye."

Upon hearing this achievement, Mildred felt a twinge of jealousy.

Her marksmanship was her strong suit, but it was inconspicuous in front of the boss.

Sylvester, however, remained expressionless. He took off his white gloves and said to Mildred, "Unit 201 recently introduced a new batch of firearms. When can you take a team there and bring some back for testing? This batch seems a bit less agile."

Mildred acknowledged the order, "Yes Sir, I will make arrangements right away."

Sylvester finished giving his instructions and returned to the main building wearing his black combat gear.

He crossed the artificial forest, where the bright sunlight filtered through the branches, casting its glow upon Sylvester. Raising his hand, the sunlight fell onto the distinct joints of his hand. Sylvester lowered his gaze, enjoying the warmth from the light. He remembered how much the little one loved the warmth of the sun.

Passing through the artificial forest, he continued towards the direction of the main villa, passing by a pool shimmering with ripples.

Next to the pool, there was even a beach.

Of course, that was Lela's idea.

Last month, Sylvester taught Lela how to speak, and she obediently followed along.

She could speak now. However, in order to maintain the pretense of not being able to speak before, she had to do her homework or else she would get spanked.

By the end of last month, Lela could speak fluent Pliaran, the official language of the country, Pliar.

Sylvester praised her intelligence.

Lela had a smug expression, hmph! She had actually learned it a long time ago.

In fact, after learning so many languages in the previous five years, Lela admitted that Pliaran was the most difficult language to master.

After she escaped from the Immortal Man, she started learning that the country of Pliar has had some tough experiences, but luckily she has a strong ability to learn, or else she would have pulled all of her hair out. After "mastering" the Pliaran language under Sylvester's watchful eye, Lela expressed her views on the Dragon Manor architecture.

Inside Dragon Manor, there is a large artificial forest, followed by a vast swimming pool, but there is no beach.

Once Sylvester understood Lela's point, he immediately gave orders to Butler Trevil, who didn't dare delay and quickly invited an internationally renowned designer. The workers started construction soon after. It took a whole month, but now there are forests, beaches, and swimming pools.

In order to imitate the beach, Sylvester even had the designer install fake coconut trees around the area. After all, coconut trees cannot grow in Greafury City due to the climate.

But in order to be realistic, the designer had to make every single coconut tree to the extreme, even the texture of the tree bark feels real.

Sylvester glanced at the artificial beach, raised an eyebrow, and headed straight towards the main villa.

He entered the foyer, and immediately a servant came over to offer him shoes.

Sylvester changed his shoes and glanced at the dining room. "Is Lela not awake yet?"

The servant respectfully replied, "No, Master Sylvester, Miss Lela is still sleeping."

Sylvester looked at the time. "It's a few minutes past seven, still early."

But due to Lela's special Mutant identity, he was afraid that if he didn't take good care of her even for a moment, he would lose her. So, he paid special attention to Lela's diet.

Lela can do anything, but she must not skip breakfast.

"Is breakfast ready in the kitchen?"

"Yes, it's already done. It's being kept warm in the food warmer."

"Alright."

Just as Sylvester took a step, he stopped and said to the servant, "Tell the manager of the Starlit store to deliver a swimsuit in Lela's size."
