Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld
Chapter106 Forest Memories (1)

No sooner had he spoken than the white lion, with its striking blue eyes, stiffened and pounced on a black panther, an apex predator renowned for its speed and power. Yet in the flash of an attack, the panther was rendered helpless, a mere subject to the lion's dominion. In what seemed like a brief dance of death, the lion seized the panther's neck with lightning speed, swung it through the air, and slammed it to the ground-a scene as morbidly graceful as it was brutal. The black panther lay still on the grass, its neck oozing crimson, drenching the white lion in a gruesome spectacle of red that looked like a blooming rose.

Life had been extinguished.

The white lion, confirming its kill, nonchalantly began to feast. The other animals, recognizing the commencement of the lion's meal, warily resumed their feeding, giving the dominant predator a wide berth, fearing death should they be deemed an interruption.

"Holy smokes!" A voice erupted from the crowd, stunned. "That lion is a beast!"

"Man, that really gets my blood pumping!" another exclaimed with thrill.

The women, on the other hand, were terrified, instinctively seeking refuge in their partners' embrace.

Lela, who had been snacking, stopped dead in her tracks, fixated on the white lion feasting in the distance, her eyes slowly welling up with tears...

Her thoughts drifted far, far away...

In the forest, a toddler, no more than two or three years old, wearing a simple cotton dress, was sprawled comfortably atop a young white lion. Her chubby legs dangled down the animal's side while her hands clutched at its ears. Her big eyes were closed, blissfully basking in the dappled warmth of the forest sun.

The young white lion ambled through the woodland with the little girl on its back, occasionally pausing by the blossoms at the base of the great trees.

The scent of flowers stirred the little girl to open her wide, sparkling eyes. Her chubby hands plucked a bright red flower, which she sniffed before tying it carefully in the mane of her white lion cub.

The cub, a young male and the son of the lion king, was less than thrilled. If the lionesses saw him adorned with a flower, they'd never let him live it down.

He shook his head, trying to resist.

"Don't you dare shake it off, Big White," the little girl chided with innocent authority. "This is my special gift to you."

Hearing her voice, Big White ceased his shaking and looked at her with a resigned gaze.

Alright, his owner was more important than pride. He'd indulge her whims.

"Big White, let's go through the forest and down to the beach, okay?"

Her small, pudgy hands stroked his ears as she peered eagerly into the woods, her bright eyes shining with anticipation.

Big White gave in, letting out a roar that seemed to warn the beasts of the forest or perhaps call out for his fellow lions to watch over them.

With a roar, he sprinted into the dense forest ahead.

His movements were swift and agile, easily dodging obstacles.

The little girl held on to Big White's ears, her childish giggles ringing like chimes through the trees...

"Wow! Big White, I feel like I'm flying. Faster, go faster!"

At her request, the lion picked up speed, his deep blue eyes intently scanning their surroundings.

A white blur zoomed deeper into the forest...

Reaching the seashore, the girl hopped off Big White and ran across the sand.

The beach shone under the sun, sprinkled with golden sparkles - utterly mesmerizing.

On the beach, she'd occasionally squat to pick up seashells, while Big White lay under a large tree by the shoreline, lazing with half-closed eyes but never losing sight of the strikingly beautiful girl.
