Broken Strings -
Chapter 45-The End
MELISSA QUIZON
“I like this one,” I said while tasting the different flavours of the cake for our wedding.
“But, Baby, I hate strawberries.” Wright’s sweetly say as he caressed my thigh.
“But, I want this. Please? Just give it a shot. Hmm.” As I extend the spoon to his lips.
His face turned sour and he shook. I pouted and said ‘please’. He sighed and ate the cake.
Reid tugged my blouse to get my attention. “Mommy, I want to.”
I split the cake and put it on my saucer and feed it to Reid. I wiped the edge of his l*p because there was the icing on it. I turned to Wright and saw him spitting the piece of cake in the tissue as I frowned at him.
“Sorry.” Guilt is visible on his face.
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Really?”
Nervously he says “I’m sorry, okay? I don’t like strawberries. But if that what makes you happy, okay fine. I can bear the taste.”
“Thanks, Baby,” I said happily and kissed his left cheek. He smiled sweetly. I looked at the wedding coordinator and Exquisite’s owner, Miss Ysabella Santiago, sitting in front of us. “We’ve decided.”
“Very nice choice, Mrs Agoncillo. The flavour you chose is one of our best sellers.” Said Miss Santiago, the owner of Exquisite.
Wright held my hand as we talked to the wedding coordinator and Miss Santiago. Reid, on the other hand, just ate cakes while playing on his PSP.
Our conversation lasted almost two hours. I noticed Reid get down from his chair and turn over to Wright’s seat.
“Daddy, my PSP is low. Let’s go home.” Reid’s sweetly said to Wright.
Reid climbed into Wright’s lap and wrapped his arms around his father’s neck. “Wait a minute, son.”
“I’m getting bored.” My son whispered before squeezing his head around Wright’s neck.
“You look very beautiful in pink, Mrs Agoncillo.” he refers to my wedding gown.
I smiled at our wedding coordinator. “Thank you. And my husband, too, right?”
“What?” Wright said, shock. “I’m going to wear pink on our wedding day?”
“Isn’t that wonderful?” I teased.
“No. I’m not going to wear my tuxedo if it’s colour pink, Baby. I’m begging you.”
“That’s boring. Okay, fine. Violet, then. It will be a good combination, don’t you think?” I giggled when I saw his face darken. “I’m just teasing you, okay?”
“you just wait.” He devilishly said.
I hem and avoided his eyes. I smiled at our wedding coordinator and continued talking to him.
When we finished choosing the flavour of the cake, choosing the colour of my wedding gown and the bridesmaids we said goodbye to them.
“Reid is asleep?” I said as we walked towards where our car was.
I wiped Reid’s forehead that was protruding from Wright’s back because of the sweat forming there.
“Our son is impatient,” Wright said.
“Just like you.”
“That’s you again, e. When it’s negative feedback, it’s from me. But when it’s positive, it’s yours. Girls.” He said while shaking his head in disbelief.
“Because I’m always right.”
“Yeah. You’re right.”
“Who’s the hero who always naked?” I asked while we’re still walking sideways. Nothing, I just want to talk.
He raised an eyebrow. “Who?”
“Undress Bonifacio,” I said before laughing because of my joke. I realized that he was just staring at me and didn’t even join my joke.
“Make sure that when you joke, we both laugh,” he says seriously.
I frowned at him. “You’re so bad.”
I quickly opened the backseat door but Wright stopped my arm.
“I’m not done yet.” He said while staring at me with love in his eyes.
“You’re not done insulting my joke?”
He smiled and pushed the car door to shut. He got me to press there even though Reid was in his arms.
“Make sure we both laugh at your joke. Not that you’re the only one laughing and me falling in love.”
I caught my breath when I heard what he said. I couldn’t say anything because I felt like I swallowed my tongue.
Ugh!
F**k.
I love this sick bastard.
His lips dropped to mine. His k**s was light. I clung to his waist because of the trembling of my knee. We couldn’t move properly because Reid was asleep between us. He couldn’t hug me because he was holding Reid so he wouldn’t fall.
I m****d as he lightly bit my lower l*p.
“Wright, my knees are trembling,” I mumble.
“Are you going to melt, Baby? Do you want more?” He whispered.
“Yes.” I breathe.
“I can’t hold you properly. Ugh.” He traced my jaw with his hot lips.
“It’s hot.” We pulled away from each other when we heard Reid speak.
We did not notice that we were under the sun. I immediately opened the back seat door and Wright slipped him inside.
Reid immediately laid down inside and wiped away the sweat. We hurried into the car and Wright turned on the aircon.
“Why are we taking so long under the sun, Daddy?” Reid sat up and fastened the seatbelt to his body.
“Uh, I and your Mom felt like want to sunbathe.” Wright’s excuse.
“Mommy isn’t in a swimsuit, is she?” Reid said innocently.
“She almost undresses in front of me, eh,” Wright said softly but I heard that.
I gasped and slapped him on the thigh. And he complained.
“What are you mumbling, Daddy?”
“Nothing, son, I just savoured the strawberry on your Mommy’s lips,” he said loudly while grinning widely.
I was about to pinch him, but he restrained my hand and brought it to his lips.
“But, you hate strawberries, Dad,” Reid said while untying his sneakers.
“I love them now.” He said seductively while licking my middle finger.
