Bride of the vampire -
Chapter fifty nine
**THE NEXT MORNING**
Damien had got up early, he was trying to avoid crystal. Having no idea how to face her after what happened last night.
Putting on his suit, he grabbed his suitcase and stepped out of his room. Looking over at Crystal's door.
He wished she would step out. And he would see her once before he leaves for the office.
He entered his Lamborghini without any guards. He had instructed them especially to keep an eye on crystal and make sure no single hair on her head went missing.
He arrived at his office, ignoring all the greetings from his employees.
No one knew he would be in Paris today. He walked into his office as it was clean and shiny. He had it cleaned yesterday.
He sank into his chair as he ran his hairs into his hair in frustration.
Suddenly, it all came flooding back to him. The argument they'd had, the words they'd exchanged, how he yelled at her and made her scared. He felt a pang of guilt and regret as he thought about the hurtful things he'd said. He knew he'd made a mistake, and he didn't know how to fix it. How could he make things right?
He ran his hands through his hair in frustration, feeling like he was at a dead end. He didn't know what to do next, and the more he thought about it, the more helpless he felt. He got up from his desk and started pacing around the room, trying to clear his head. But it was no use, he just couldn't seem to shake the thoughts of her from his mind.
And he couldn't even face her. No matter how hard he tries he couldn't pay attention to his work.
He sat at his desk, staring at his computer screen, but his mind was a million miles away. He couldn't focus on the numbers and charts in front of him, all he could think about was her and the argument they'd had. He knew he had to find a way to make things right, but he just didn't know how. He felt lost and confused.
And she won't even help the situation. If he tries to talk to her again. They'd probably end up arguing all over again. In as much as he likes her being feisty but he needed her to be submissive too but crystal is too hot headed. She won't agree she's wrong. If he tries to talk to her about it again she will only get more annoy.
Women and being right. He groaned in frustration.
Even his exs didn't give him this much problem and headaches. He's not even dating her yet.
What if he starts dating her? He will have to call fire entingiusier to calm the fire their arguments will be making everyday.
He chuckled at his own thoughts.
"Coffee". He said into the phone.
Shortly after, the secretary came in with the coffee.
He took a taste and spit it out.
"What's this?". He groaned.
"Your coffee sir". The poor girl shivered in fear.
"Like I don't know it's coffee? Why is it so sweet?".
"Perhaps if you drink more sweet things. Your life won't be so bitter". Liam said, stepping into his office.
"Leave". He said to the secretary.
"Long time no see Liam, I hope my demons treated you well the last time. Cause they will be doing double this time". Damien smirk.
Liam smiled, taking a seat in front of him.
"I see you guys are almost a thing now". He said, referring to Damien and crystal.
"Perhaps you're forgetting she's my mate. Once she discovers her powers, the bond will be stronger. I'd love to see the look on your face then.". He smirks.
"Perhaps you're forgetting I'm not an ordinary vampire. I also get to choose my mate. Once I mark her, and make her mine. I'd love to see the look on your face". Damien wink, using his word against him as Liam gripped the table angrily.
"And I am one step ahead of you. She's in my house, sleeping and waking up next to me. I can easily mark her while she's asleep without her consent, but I'm not like you. I won't do that.".
"I'm sure you don't want to ruin your mood before our meeting buddy?." Damien said.
"To be frank, I still find it very hard to believe I used to trust you a lot. So foolish that I could lay down my life for you. How you became like this or turned out like this is what I still don't understand until now". Damien said with anger and guilt in his eyes.
Part of him believes he was responsible for Liam becoming like this. But he had no idea what he did or what made him like this.
"Maybe if you haven't gone behind my back. And I haven't always been compared to you. I won't turn out like this." Liam added
"If only you knew the true meaning of trust. Then you would have known I have never gone behind your back that day and It has never crossed my mind. Maybe there's always that evil in you. And what happened just pushed it out." Damien responded, his anger slowly building up.
"I don't believe in words but in what I see. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it. I always had trust in you dame. But you broke it. I even went against my father for you but how did you pay me back?? By breaking my trust? Betraying me. And there's nothing you will do to make me forgive you. Not until you go through the same pain I went through". Liam yelled angrily, getting up and kicking his seat away.
Dame was the nickname Liam had given him on the second day of their friendship.
"I never broke your trust. What happened that day wasn't what it seemed like. Sometimes not all you see is the truth. Your father was the reason for all this". Damien yelled back, getting on his feets.
"Don't you dare bring my father into this. You son of a bitch. This is the reason why no one loves you, not even your mother wants to stay with you!". "LIAM!!".
"What's going on here?". Someone yelled from the doorstep.
