Bride of the vampire -
Chapter forty six
"Well, well, if it isn't my mate and Damien's puppet's". Someone said from behind causing them to stop. "Mate?!!". Max repeated, slightly distancing himself from Aiden.
"What the fuck are you doing here?". Aiden yelled, turning to his so-called mate.
"Max, you have to listen to me. It's not what it looks like". Aiden pleaded, about to tear up.
He was already on the edge of losing max, now his stupid mate is here to cause more misunderstandings.
"Mate??. Max repeated again.
Trying to understand the situation they were in. He was Aiden's mate, right? But how come another person is claiming Aiden has his mate?? "He's your mate?". He asked.
"Oh looks like the little play thing doesn't know". Aiden's mate teased.
"You better shut the fuck up adrain". Aiden yelled
"Adrian?". Max repeated.
Max felt the name ring a bell. He took a good look at Adrian and realised he was the same person in Crystal's house. On the night Crystal had saved Damien with her blood. When he dropped crystal at her doorstep, the same Adrian was the one who took her in.
Wasn't he supposed to be a human??
"Is he your true mate?." He asked again.
At least that's the one thing that makes sense. It's either he was the fake mate and Adrian was the real mate. He can't possibly have two mates. "Max plea......".
"I asked you a fucking question!! Is he your mate". Max yelled, cutting him short.
"Yes he's my mate". Aiden yelled back, throwing his hand up in the air.
Max almost slopped to the ground, as he staggered continuously.
Adrian was his mate? What about him? Has Aiden just been using him all this time? He wasn't actually his mate?
"What about me?". He whispered in pain, staring at Aiden with tears in his eyes.
"You have a mate and you lied to me? You lied about me being your mate!!! Why? Why did you do that? You could have just told me".
Pain, sadness was visible in Max's eyes.
He felt his whole world was crashing down on him, first it was Damien, now Aiden had lied to him.
"Am I a plaything to you??". Max asked, moving toward Aiden.
"Did you just use me to pass time? Huh? Was I just a tool of sex to you?".
"Answer me, you son of a bitch". He yelled
Aiden could only stare at him dumbly with tears rolling down his eyes. His biggest fear finally came true. It was true Adrian was his mate. But he had never for once felt what he felt for Max for anyone, not even for Adrian. He didn't feel the mate bond with Adrian but he felt it with max.
And the worst part was that he had mistakenly marked Adrian. How can he explain to Max that he was drunk and had mistaken Adrian for Max and slept with him?.
"Max". Aiden whispered
"Hear me out. Please, I was going to tell you soon".
"Tell me soon? Tell me what exactly? That I was never your mate? You only want to sleep with me or your mate was someone else and you only use me to pass time? What exactly are you going to tell me Aiden ?".
"Oh goodness? Who the heck is cutting onions? Y'all be making me emotional ". Adrian laughed as he sat on the couch, chewing on the popcorn that came out of nowhere.
"Please believe me. I have nothing to do with Adrian. I have no feelings for him at all, it's you I love, please believe me I love you and only you". Aiden pleaded continuously, trying to touch him.
Max pushed him away and picked up his clothes.
"I have never regretted anything In my life before but today, Aiden, you're making me regret ever meeting you". Without waiting for his response.
He left.
"I wish I could hug and cuddle you until I fall asleep. How can someone be so incredibly handsome even when they're frowning?" Crystal thought dreamily. Damien chuckled.
"I can hear your thoughts now."
"You can hear my thoughts?" Crystal gasped.
She knew he wasn't human, but how could he hear her thoughts now?
"I'm a vampire."
She laughed.
"Oh really? So are you going to suck my blood now?" She teased, thinking he was joking.
Damien's eyes changed color to red as his fangs came out.
Crystal almost fled away.
"Oh my goodness!"
She screamed so loudly that Damien quickly changed back to normal, thinking he had scared her.
"I did not mean to scare you."
"Scare me? Oh my goodness! I thought you people weren't real. Vampires, werewolves, and fairies. I thought it was all in books," she exclaimed.
"Oh goodness, I had always dreamed about seeing one and dating them."
"Now my dream has come true, except you're not going to be dating me."
As Damien was about to reply, Carlo burst inside with a rose.
"Is everyone okay? I heard screams?"
"Oh hi gorgeous," Carlo immediately put on his flirtatious smirk.
"Damien didn't tell me there was a pretty lady here."
"Hello angel, I'm Carlo," he said, kissing the back of her hand.
She blushed.
Who wouldn't? He was seriously drop-dead gorgeous. Though he is nothing compared to Damien. But he's good on his own.
Crystal started to wonder if handsomeness runs in their family. Like, damn, look at Damien. That man is incredibly handsome. "I'm Crystal," she responded.
"A precious name for a precious gem like you," he said, kissing her hand once again.
Damien growled at him immediately, Carlo laughed and quickly raised his hands in surrender.
"Hi," Rose said bluntly.
Crystal scoffed.
"It's nice to see you again, sis."
Her stomach suddenly grumbled, making her cheeks turn red in embarrassment.
"I'll take you downstairs to get some food."
Damien carried her in a bridal way, heading downstairs.
He dropped her on the couch and was about to get food from the refrigerator.
"I've been hearing rumours about you caring for a girl. I must say I'm impressed, someone is trying to take my place." "OLIVIA?!!."
"HELLO DAMIEN, I'M BACK".
