Chapter forty

'CRYSTAL!'.

Damien's voice broke all the glasses in the room as thunder struck across the sky and it started raining immediately.

Giving him one more stare, she walked out of the room.

Despite the heavy rain, Crystal still chooses to walk all the way home. She arrived home soaked in water and her eyes were red and swollen as a result of crying. She took a cold shower and tried to catch some sleep.

Not long she heard a loud bang on the door, she got scared thinking what Damien said was true. But Adrian's loud and painful screams got her on her feet immediately. Unlocking the door, Adrian fell straight into her arms with blood dripping from his cloth.

'Oh my goodness!! Adrian are you alright?? Oh God so much blood? Who did this to you??'. Crystal cried 'D...amien'.

Her eyes widen in shock

Damien?? Did this ?? She thought.

"Je had threatened to kill me if I didn't convince you to move in with him'. Adrian gasp in pain as he speaks

"promise me crystal you won't go to him or see him ever again?'.

Crystal looked at him in shock

On one hand is her best friend who she had spend most of her life with while the other hand is the man she fell for

With heavy heart she responded

"I promise you".

She took him into his room and started dressing his wound.

It looks like he was stabbed twice

She hated Damien for doing this!.

Why ?? Just for her to move in with him? How could he be so heartless? Does he think she will move in by attacking her best friend??

"I'm sorry bestie, it's all my fault. Get some rest we will talk tomorrow'.

Crystal pecked him on the forehead and left

Just immediately she left, a black smoke appears slowly turning into a human And laugh evilly

"Good job! Amon. We have managed to fool her now it's time to play my part'.

Adrian grinned evilly. His real name was AMON which means the hidden one

Turns out he was never Crystal's best friend but Crystal's best enemy.

'Make sure you don't forget to add the pills to her food. We don't want her power getting activated very soon. If that happens all our plans will go to waste'. The black smoke said. 'Yes! My queen'.

Damien sat at the stripper bar, sipping his drink slowly.

Rose walked up to him.

'In for a night handsome?'.

'A demon? I see. Never knew a demon now works as a stripper'. He said

Rose's eyes widened in shock. How did he find out she was not a human?

'M...my lord, I..' she stammered.

'It's not a problem, you will be by my side now! And you are nothing but a slave to me, so do not think highly of yourself. Am I understood!?'.

'I understand!'. She grinned evilly

Just being by his side was enough for her. She was sure she would be able to make him fall for her In no time.

'I have seen lots of seductress demons like you but none of them could make me fall. Don't try your luck or else you won't live another day to think of that'. Damien said in a deadly voice. 'I'm sorry'. She gasped

'8am tomorrow morning, meet me at the office'.

With that Damien walked away. Rose stared at him in shock

What's wrong with this man? I don't even know his office? Is he gonna make me an assistant instead of his lover??

****ONE MONTH LATER*****

Rose stood in front of Damien and Carlo, clad in a black leather jeans and black jacket with a pistol in her hand.

'Remember, I want both the money and the drugs'. Damien said

'Yes Damien'.

She hid her gun and turned around, her back side shook dangerously as she walked. Her back view alone could make any guy go insane for her

And Carlo did. He stared at her lustfully. He sat crossed legged with his white hair stuck to his face.

He just couldn't get enough of her but guess what she was playing hard to get.

'Men, where did you find this goddess?'. Carlo exclaimed

Goddess! Damien almost chuckled. Well guess he hasn't seen crystal.

Damien kept mute, his greenish blue eyes staring into space as he thought of crystal again. It's been a month since he last saw her, since Rose started working for him. he felt his old self coming back. He has tried to make sure he doesn't come in contact with her but any time he sees her, he could sense this dangerous aura coming from her like she was in great danger

She had called him a demon so a demon should not think of a human but he just can't help but think about her sometimes.

'Meet me at the mansion when Rose comes back, bring Ethan along'. He said and left

Damien was in his mansion waiting impatiently for them.

'Rose how was the exchange?'. He asked immediately they got there.

'Went well boss. Ethan told me about our mission tonight but there is a little problem there'.

'Speak'.

'The gathering is only for business tycoons and CEOs. I'm afraid we can't just break in nor sneak in, their security is too tight'. Rose said

'you all get ready. Once we are in, Rose takes care of the cameras, Ethan checks out their guards and Carlo moves with me'.

'Yes boss'.
