Chapter 178 A Busy Return
Yvonne turned and embraced Olivia, gently patting her back, feeling her trembling and unease.
“Olivia, I don’t know how you got involved with him, and I don’t care… but I understand your heart, and I know the kind of life you want. So, don’t worry.”
Her voice was soft yet firm, like a warm stream slowly flowing into Olivia’s
heart.
Olivia really wanted to cry, tears welling up in h
yes.
“No, it’s fine.” Her voice was choked, as if she were trying hard to control her
emotions.
Yvonne gently patted her shoulder and smiled reassuringly.
“I believe in myself… and whatever you want to do, I will help you without
hesitation.”
Her eyes were filled with determination and confidence, like an unshakable
mountain.
Steven stood nearby, coldly watching everything, with a flicker of complex emotion in his eyes.
He knew that the bond between these two girls was deep, and breaking it wouldn’t be easy.
Yvonne wasn’t afraid of Steven finding out.
For such a man, keeping secrets from him was too difficult.
Might as well lay it all out. She made up her mind, her gaze growing even more
determined.
Upon returning to Las Vegas, Yvonne got busy.
She had lost quite a bit of time while ill in St. George, and coming back after the Thanksgiving holiday left a lot to catch up on.
The heads of the two major luxury brands, BR and L.S., started work almost simultaneously.
Brands that had been watching from the sidelines were now extending olive branches, and she was busy negotiating with them.
Bella’s popularity during Thanksgiving also boosted Caesar’s sales, keeping her busy with back–to–back tasks.
Her office was piled with documents, and the phone rang constantly.
The secretary was busy coming and going, and the entire company was running at high efficiency.
Yvonne sat at her desk, her gaze focused, fingers flying over the keyboard, looking composed.
She didn’t want to see Benson. After coming back, she hadn’t contacted him
either.
But with New Year’s approaching, she had to return to the Taylor family, and she was worried about how to face him.
Her heart was filled with contradictions and unease, but she knew that avoiding it was not the solution.
She needed to face everything and find a way to solve it.
Unexpectedly, on the day before New Year’s, she ran into Benson.
That day, Jeremy was on a business trip. After all the trouble he caused her in St. George, Yvonne took time to treat him to Las Vegas’s specialty cuisine.
The restaurant was an old establishment with a long history, but it still maintained a unique flavor.
The decor was rustic and elegant, with old photos on the walls and solid wood tables and chairs, full of historical charm.
The two of them sat by the window, with a full view of the night scene outside, neon lights flashing, capturing the city’s hustle and bustle.
Benson also brought a client to dine there; this old establishment was popular for entertaining out–of–town clients.
As Yvonne and Jeremy entered the restaurant, they ran into Benson in the lobby.

As the service staff led them to a private room, their eyes met in the air, and it felt like the air was charged with electricity.
Seeing Yvonne with Jeremy, Benson frowned instinctively because she didn’t. bring an assistant.
She always had a sense of propriety, and if she dined with a client, she would definitely bring Megan…
So, it seemed Jeremy wasn’t just a client; he was probably her friend.
Yvonne’s gaze calmly fell on Benson, her look steady and resolute, as if she didn’t see him at all.
Her heart was filled with complex emotions, but on the surface, she remained
calm.
In the private room, Jeremy asked her, “Still fighting?” His voice carried a hint of concern, and his gaze was puzzled.
Yvonne smiled faintly and replied, “What couple doesn’t argue?”
Her words carried a hint of helplessness and acceptance, showing her
gratitude to Jeremy but not saying much more.
Jeremy looked at her, a flash of doubt in his eyes, “Your relationship doesn’t seem very good.”
His voice carried a hint of concern and worry.
Yvonne nodded, her tone calm, “Yes, there’s been some problems, but I can
handle it.”
Her words were full of confidence and determination, as if telling herself and
him.
Her straightforwardness made Jeremy slightly stunned, “You really are that kind of person. In relationships, few are so clear–headed.”
His gaze carried a hint of admiration, as if seeing her anew.
Yvonne smiled, a hint of helplessness and self–mockery in her.eyes. Maybe she wasn’t that clear–headed; perhaps too much disappointment led to no expectations.
that made her shiver.
“I really don’t have the habit of letting a girl send me off.” Jeremy said, his voice gentle and caring.
Yvonne smiled slightly and nodded, “Alright, be careful on your way.” Her tone carried care and warmth.
At the door, Jeremy waited for Yvonne to leave first.
The night wind was quite chilly, the streets bustling with traffic, neon lights flashing, the city’s hustle and bustle esr ially captivating at night.
Yvonne immediately saw Benson leaning against the car.
In the neon light, his figure appeared especially stern and lonely.
His gaze was calm when he looked at her, but the crimson glow between his fingers highlighted the coldness in him.
“Let the driver take you.” Yvonne said to Jeremy, her tone carrying a hint of apology and care.
Jeremy nodded, watching her leave.
Yvonne instructed her driver to wait for Jeremy to leave before walking up to Benson..
“Do you need something?” Her voice was cold and distant, her gaze wary and
uneasy.
Benson’s eyes were deep and complex, his voice low and firm, “Go home, you promised…”
