“Oh, This Is horrible, really horrible,” Elizia said as she sat on her car practically pulling her hair out. I glanced from the passenger seat as watched Raven talk Blaine’s eater’s off.

“What chance do I have with him if Raven stocks him and doesn’t let anyone go near him?” Elizia asked as she leaned back on the window, Elizia’s hair blocking the sun as I stared at her head.

“I told you to ask him out while you had your chance,” I said nonchalantly as I watched somebody from the soccer team talk to Blane. “Now you’ll have to do your part and watched the madness unfold as girls try their attempts to win Blaine’s heart behind Raven’s back.”

“Ugh… Why can’t she just accept that Blane has no interest in her? She’s been trying her luck since freshman year if he hasn’t said yes by now, he’s not going to say yes like ever.” Elizia said practically rolling on the hood of her car.

“Why don’t you go to a soccer practice after school,” I suggested as I watched the guy leave from the group. “Raven most likely won’t be there since it’s just an area filled with sweaty men who spent half an hour running around in the sunlight.”

“Better yet why doesn’t she just go back to her stupid vacation home, clearly she doesn’t consider school important if she’s going on vacations in the middle of the school year, if she goes on this vacation again it will let everyone be able to try their luck without fear,” Elizia said as she opened her soda can.

I silently watched as Raven parted from the group practically gawking at Blane as if she was being forced to leave. “Now is your chance,” I said as I watched Raven enter the school and disappearing into the halls. “Raven’s gone to God knows where you might want to get your opportunity now,” I suggested.

“Are you serious! Do you see how many people are there if he turns me down, I’d be practically rejected in front of the entire soccer team.” Elizia whined.

I shrugged as I silently watched a girl attempt to ask Blane out, I could practically see Elizia fuming with rage as the girl stammered with her words.

You’re really sweet and pretty but unfortunately, I don’t see you that way I know you’ll find somebody who will love you very much but I don’t think I’m that person. I thought practically mimicking his rejection.

On queued the girl started to sob into her hands before running off in the opposite direction.

“I guess that didn’t work for her either,” I said nonchalantly as I ate my lunch.

“I wonder what his type is,” I said curiously as I watched another girl step up to the plate.

“Wait you don’t know his type?” Elizia said suddenly as she looked at me through the car window.

“You are listening I thought you were still fuming, but no I don’t know his type we never really talked about it,” I spoke.

Elizia looked at me perplexed but shrugged then went back to watching Blane and the rest of the soccer team.

“Why don’t you go ask him if you can’t ask him out why don’t you figure out what his preference is, maybe knowing his type might ease you until you can confess who knows maybe people like Raven gross him out,” I suggested.

“Maybe you’re right, it’s better than sitting here and trying to figure it out myself.” She said hopping off her car. “Wish me luck Zaphira.” She said sounding confident as she walked towards Blane.

What you need is a wack ton of confidence and probably nerves of steel. I thought as I watched, keeping my eyes out for Raven. I wonder if she’s going to be able to ask him or maybe she is going to chicken out and run back.

I almost passed out in the car until I heard Elizia squeal and jumping back onto the hood of her car like it was a bed.

Geez Elizia you nearly pushed the car, is your hood, okay? What the hell is she thinking it's not a bed. I'd be surprised if there wasn’t a dent on it.

“So… Let me guess he totally hurt your feelings and you’re trying to play it off like he never did by pretending you’re excited and happy about his preference type,” I asked slightly annoyed. I was so close to falling asleep. I thought as I sat up straight.

“Nope, I managed to confidently ask him what his type was without losing my cool,” Elizia said cheerfully as she giggled to herself.

“Okay, and… What is his type? Let me guess you fit his ideal girlfriend type?”

“Nope.” She said practically flinging herself around.

“Then I’m confused why are you really happy then? Normally girls aren’t exactly happy to be not their crushes type.” I said as I glanced at Blane who was talking to somebody.

“Well, he said that he doesn’t exactly have a particular type and that he wasn’t exactly looking for a girlfriend so there isn’t exactly anybody that he would say yes to.”

“That doesn’t exactly explain why you’re happy if anything that just confuses me more,” I said as I looked at her.

“It means that he’s not looking for anybody that includes Raven, but it also doesn’t mean he’s not willing to date somebody which means I still have a chance with him.” She spoke.

“I see… So does that mean you’re going to just wait then?”

“Well, of course, I can’t exactly make him date me if he doesn’t want to be in a relationship what kind of person would I be if I tried to mimic Raven, I mean look how well that’s going for her.”

“Good point, then I wish you the best of luck,” I said still feeling a bit confused.

“Hey, how’s your ankle?” Blaine asked as he neared, I could almost see Elizia explode from excitement.

“It’s doing fine, I haven’t exactly moved from this spot so… it can’t hurt if I don’t move,” I said calmly.

“Are you going to stay in watch the practice?” Blaine asked as he looked from me to Elizia.

“Yeah, but not the whole match I still have to put my ankle on ice so I’ll probably leave before practices over,” I said as I looked at Elizia who looked like she was on the verge of fainting.

“What about you Elizia?”

“Yeah, but I’ll probably be late to your practice I’m going to be taking Zaphira home so that she doesn’t have to walk, she lives a little too far from the school to be walking on that foot.”

Blaine nodded in agreement as he looked at me then smiled. “At least I don’t have to worry about your ankle, good thing Elizia has a car and is willing to take you home,” Blaine said sounding relieved.

“Yeah, thank you Elizia I appreciate it,” I said sincerely.

“No problem what are friends for?” Elizia said as she glanced at me with a tender smile.

“I’ll stop by after practice to see how you’re doing, mom said she will be making shepherd's pie for dinner so I’ll bring you the leftovers,” Blaine said.

“Sounds good, plus she can pick up that movie I borrowed I finally found it it’s been in the bookshelf, it should have been with the movies I must’ve put it in the wrong spot in the sleepy haze,” I spoke.

“Cool,” Blaine said before the bell rang startling Elizia who looked upset.

Blaine and Elizia helped me out of the car and escorted me into the building, for a brief moment I could see Raven in the corner her eyes glaring at me as we passed her.

This is going to be very annoying. I thought as we made our way down the hallway.

I stretched as I watched the students were leaving the classroom one by one, the gentle relief that school was done and that I could go home and sleep.

“Let’s go,” Elizia said standing by my desk. “I want to try to make it for Blaine’s practice as quickly as possible.”

“Are you sure you want to take me home? I can take myself fine I’d feel bad if I kept you from… Watching Blane kick a ball from one side of the field to the other.”

“Don’t worry Zaphira, it will suck if I miss a little bit but it’s not like I’ll be missing the whole practice besides I thought I saw Raven heading out of the school towards the parking lot,” Elizia said enthusiastically.

“I guess then you don’t have to worry about Raven interrupting your… Whatever it is you’re doing.” I said confused.

Elizia nodded in agreement as she helped me to her car.

“Here’s hoping.”
